What oh yeah, I know, but whatever. Uh we're gonna talk about another fight in Mexico, a little undercard fight going on in Mexico. Gonna try and fly through this show because we have so much to talk about, and you know, once we get going, we don't stop. Um, a lot of cool fights on that Mexican card, though. Uh decent, decent little card in Mexico. And then we have a bunch of previews. Finally, a huge fight weekend coming up out of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

They say this might be the biggest one yet. You know what I'm saying? Biggest card? Most names on there.

Yeah, yeah, definitely. We'll we'll get into that. And then, as usual, boxing drama, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and news notes, all that other stuff going on. But go ahead, Willie. Uh, actually, let's just talk about Ortiz Jr. Lubin first. What'd you think of that fight, man? Virgil Ortiz Jr., man.

Damn, Virgil. Like, we knew that shit, but like as the time was going, I was like, damn, Lubin, I hope this is a good fight. I thought he was gonna at least, like, he had been in wars.

SPEAKER_00:

We know he's like punch drunk, but we didn't really know he was punch drunk. Yeah, we knew he was a little chinny, but we called it, we called it on the money, man.

SPEAKER_02:

I'm like, but I was like hoping for a great fight, man. I was like, maybe the shit gonna go the distance. Then it did not at all.

SPEAKER_00:

Uh second round knockout stop. I think it was a TKO ref stopped the fight for uh Lubin was uh out on his feet.

SPEAKER_02:

That shit was crazy because we called, I'm like, yeah, he gets tired early.

SPEAKER_00:

Well, he went on the rope. Not only that, we were like, yo, he fights timid, he's gonna fight timid. I thought he was gonna move around more. I you know, and like shame on I don't want to put the hole in, but K Coroma, his coach, like, yeah, what are you doing, bro?

SPEAKER_02:

Like, even the first round, but but I think I was screaming at the TV. I was like, I did not want that shit. Nah, not like that. Not like that, man. I thought this is gonna be a good one. Like it's gonna be an a style that that LT's NC.

SPEAKER_00:

Although he looked like a nobody, Lubin is not a nobody. That's what I want people to understand. Yeah, he's not even Erickson Lubin is not a nobody by any means. He's had a great resume to go out like that. Great resume, great pedigree, amateur pedigree, knows how to box, can move, but didn't. He chose this high guard style versus Virgil Ortiz Jr. He even said afterwards, I made a colossal mistake. Yeah, yeah, no shit.

SPEAKER_02:

I think so. No shit.

But there was something I noticed at the end of the first round, Ortiz Jr. hit him with some body shots, and and that high guard came down. Like, like he felt he felt that body, and then sure enough, again, um Ortiz Jr. is a fucking menace, dude.

SPEAKER_02:

But why would you sit? Why would you sit there for a power punch like that? I have no idea. Oh, I'm coming for it, pal. This guy is technical in a power punch.

SPEAKER_00:

And you're gonna sit there on the ropes, but he is kind of like like people don't realize how technical Virgil Ortiz Jr. is. Did you see that little pivot? He was showing some angle. Yeah, I love that.

SPEAKER_02:

I love he that's what he did. He did that after he already stunned him, though. But um he and he did the rip too. He ripped the arm. Yeah, he loves that. He loves that the glove rip. He loves the glove. Yeah, because he's sitting there with a hot glove rip.

Especially him. And then when he smells blood in the water, man, he's like a shark. He just comes full steam ahead, and and again, second round, but but he was out on his feet. Lubin Lubin fought exactly how he said he shouldn't fight. Um, he did admit at the after the fight that he made a colossal mistake and uh by fighting that way. I don't know what's next for Lubin. I mean, I you can't really he'll he'll be on some undercards and stuff, but you can't really I thought for sure it was gonna go at least six. He was gonna get hurt a little bit. Not only that, he didn't he was jabbing and backing up, and I know that's hard, but move around. We're talking like it's it's easy, but the body work by Ortiz Jr. is what really really impressed me.

And see, once you touch the ropes, move. Yeah, don't exactly if you you this I hate that the rope and dope was a thing because it's like then these these uh fighters just want to start doing that, but don't stun though.

SPEAKER_00:

I think he got stunned with the body shot. If you look closely, I watched it a bunch of times. He was already the body shots were stunning him. He's like, what was that? Oh, he sat on the ropes and didn't move either.

Like he didn't have no head movement on the ropes, just sat there just sitting there eating punches from Virgil Ortiz Jr. Imagine that.

We don't know what's next. I mean, obviously, we all want the boots fight. There was uh an interview where they asked Virgil who uh who's the biggest fight he wants next, or something like that. And he was like, I really want Errol Spence, but before you roast him, and before everyone was roasting him, let's that's a huge fight in Texas. Exactly, and let's put some respect on Errol Spence's name, man.

We haven't seen him though, come back and just fight Erlang. But Virgil Ortiz Jr.

is from Texas, right? When they were coming up, and Virgil Ortiz was coming up through the ranks, Errol Spence was the guy. Yeah, it was him and Terrence Crawford. Errol Spence was the fucking guy. So let's let's just not take this Crawford loss. Like people were like, oh fuck that, are you kidding me? I know he wasn't the same after the accident, but put some respect on Errol Spence's name. He's a really good fighter.

Yeah, that fight needs to happen. They own a small, the smallest side of heavy and win or lose, your career still goes on right now. You know what I mean? Like, everyone's scared of the loss. Richard Torres Jr. loses to Moses Tama, it's okay. You're still gonna be a great heavyweight, yeah. And vice versa. Tama loses to Richard Torres Jr.

Like this dude Galaz was a big underdog, I think five to one underdog. Comes in, jab starts landing. Lindolfo Delgado is is a good fighter, 140 pounder. He's tough, gets knocked, been knocked down, knocks dude, always in wars, real Mexican fighter. Looks like literally looks like he works at a kiosk in the mall, but like legit tough dude. I was not expecting this. Gabriel Galazo landing these awkward jabs, lazy jabs. No defense for Delgado. It was weird to see, but this has significance because now Delgado is with, I think it's um whatever belt Hitchens has. What does he have? Oh, the the IBF, I believe. So so Hitchens has the IBF belt, right? Yeah, Delgado was like top five, I think, and now he's getting moved up because of this win, controversial win. He got knocked down in the 12th, very close fight. Wow, but uh Delgado versus Hitchens, yeah, Hitchens eats him up, man, and that's a good good resume bullet for Hitchens. I want Hitchens to fight a guy like that in a sense, like because the jab. Hitchens has that jab that we saw versus Cambosis, and Delgado was getting hit with the shit. That shit was whistling. Yeah, I know, and it's gonna we was in the marina, he's just but but but hopefully Delgado learns from this, and that's a really good fight, in my opinion. I think Hitchens beats his ass, but that's a good name for Hitchens needs a name like that.
