THE SPAR-INN BOXING PODCAST

Ortiz vs Lubin Preview | Boots Reality Check & Heavyweight Madness

PUMA AND WILLIE

Send us a text

Two things can be true at once: Jaron “Boots” Ennis looked sharp at 154 — and it’s still way too early to crown him the heir to Terence Crawford. We open with a reality check on tune-ups, why they exist, and what actually proves greatness when you jump weight. Then we map the route Boots needs—Madrimov, Tszyu, maybe Thurman—so talent meets resistance that talks back. The hype’s fine. Skipping steps isn’t.

Next, we dive into the fight that can light up the fall: Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs Erickson Lubin. We break down Ortiz’s pressure and body work against Lubin’s patience and clean shots, asking the only question that matters: Can Lubin keep Vergil honest without the kind of thud that stops a freight train? With Ortiz’s hand health, Crawford’s move toward 160, and a potential Boots showdown looming, this one carries real weight.

Then it’s heavyweight chaos: Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley—a live-betting puzzle pitting Parker’s composure against Wardley’s raw power. We talk odds, variance, and why discipline is the only cheat code up top. From there, it’s the sanctioning-body traffic jam featuring Usyk, Pulev, and Itauma, each caught in mandatory madness.

Promotion gets its moment too: Jake Paul’s MVP keeps finding crossover gold while Danny Garcia’s Brooklyn KO reminds us what real matchmaking means. It’s that rare week where business meets boxing—and one clean hook can still steal the show.

But we are still the best damn uh again. I'm gonna be more positive. You want to know why I'm gonna be positive? Our last episode that we went live for, yeah, we interviewed a sit-down interview, not on the plane. Tia Fimo the Takeover Lopez said a lot of stuff, had a lot of shit to say, and he sent us some gifts. Yo, what a great podcast, man. Make boxing great again. Look at this. Look at look at what we're wearing.

SPEAKER_00:

SPEAKER_02:

And we should get it like a DJ. How you been, Willie? What's going on while I get set up here? Yo, everything is good.

SPEAKER_01:

I'm just up here alone. I see you.

SPEAKER_03:

Everything is good, man. Um, where you been at? You the one that been born, bro.

SPEAKER_01:

I was in Florida for some fights. Uh I've been at some fights, you know. You should have gone this weekend.

SPEAKER_02:

I know. This weekend in Brooklyn, Danny Garcia. We're gonna talk about that. Uh good old seven-toe or six-toe, whatever. You got six toes on one. Oh, a fruit fly. That's how you know it's a real bar. Get that.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm putting it. I'm good. A zapper.

SPEAKER_01:

No, I don't got a zapper.

SPEAKER_03:

Wait, wait.

SPEAKER_01:

You got a zapper? No, I don't got a zapper, man.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm sorry. Catch this shit with my bare hands.

SPEAKER_02:

We are live, ladies and gentlemen, on the spar unboxing podcast. Again, I'm gonna try and uh talk on Instagram too. We're live on Instagram and YouTube again. Follow us on everything. Oh, is there echo? Do you hear echo?

SPEAKER_01:

Oh no.

SPEAKER_02:

No, right? Think we're good. I think we're good. We're sh good. Oh, let me just check before we get rolling here. Rolling, rolling, rolling. Um, and yeah, no, we're good. Punchlines is is is viewing us. Punchlines, you want to pop in, pop in. Uh, let me know. Send me a text. Punch was hot. Haven't talked to him in a while. He's got a big boy job now, sort of. He's doing like uh for Boise State. I think it's Boise State. Punchlines is like doing their uh recruiting, it's part of like the recruiting team, which is pretty cool. A real D1 football team. Shout out to Punchlines, friend, friend indeed of the show.

SPEAKER_03:

I just want to just like just like walk on the field.

SPEAKER_02:

Do what? I don't know. The turf is so cool. A blue turf. I think it's Boise. Don't correct me if I'm wrong. Punch, if you're in there, comment, whatever. Yeah, blue turf, boy. Uh yeah. Let's just get right into it. Um we got to catch up on uh Boots Ennis. He knocked out the guy he was supposed to knock out, and the fans are going crazy. We're gonna speak on that. Quick little rundown. Uh, we got two fights to preview. Joseph Parker is in action, not a very busy boxing few weeks coming up, but Virgil Ortiz Jr. versus Erickson Lubin is the fight that I'm looking forward to seeing. A lot of unanswered or answered questions.

SPEAKER_03:

We're gonna try to time for that one, right?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, November 8th. We might pop in again. Uh uh somebody might be pumped coming in Sunday to to do an interview with us, a friend of ours, Ginny. Um I'll talk to you about that though, after. Uh, we got that Brooklyn show that went on. A little weird Brooklyn show, I guess you could say kind of weird, right? Uh it was more of like a reunion of sorts. Speaking of reunion, you just had one. But um some drama. We got some drama to speak on. Usyk unretires. He says uh, or well, he didn't retire, unretire, but Usick says he's not retiring. Um, he's gonna fight until 41. Weird age.

SPEAKER_03:

Why is it just a weird age?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, wow, we got real fruit flies in here, guys. That's awesome. Where's the fruit? I don't know. It's probably stale beer behind my bar, but um rest in peace, Ricky Hatton. I know he he passed away, what is it like maybe a month ago now, but they finally came out with a little bit of details of it. He uh passed away, and we'll we'll talk a little bit about that. Then there's some other drama in the heavyweight division we're gonna speak on with Kubrat Kubrat Pulev and Moises Utama. Big name in the heavyweight division. Ramirez Boxing 24-7. My first time watching the show. Well, keep watching, Ramirez. And if I didn't send you a shirt already, DM me on Instagram and I'll give you another shirt. I'm talking to you, Ramirez. I see you up there. Yeah, that's all. That's what we do. It is shirt. We're very giving, dude. We're we're loving we're like a soup kitchen of free sparring shirts. Um yeah, let's talk about boots, man. Let's talk about boots. We we didn't touch on it. I know it was.

SPEAKER_03:

What is there to really talk about, man? This he was like a big favorite again. Oh my gosh. Uh, we just I don't understand how dude got caught with that punch. Uppercut?

SPEAKER_02:

It was like a matrix uppercut. I understand. There is major levels, and I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you a little something right now. I didn't watch it. Yeah, I didn't fucking watch the fight.

SPEAKER_03:

I didn't watch it either.

SPEAKER_02:

And you know why I didn't watch the fight? Because I knew damn well what the fuck was gonna happen. Like, come on, man. Yeah, he moved up to 154, and and I'm not mad at him for taking a tune-up. I'm really not. That that's good. That's what you're usually supposed to do when you move up and wait. Get a little test, feel him out a little bit. You know what I'm mad at? I'm mad at these motherfucking fans. Boots fans. Oh my goodness. Yeah, like it's not even him, dude. He he moved up and took a tune-up. If we go back in history, that's what most people do. That's what you're supposed to do when you move up.

SPEAKER_03:

No, people, people it's crazy.

SPEAKER_02:

Fighters' fans be the worst. Oh my goodness. All of a sudden, because Crawford beats Canelo, he's the hot topic. Now Boots is the next Crawford. And Boots is better than Crawford.

SPEAKER_03:

And Crawford dug Boots, and then his fans is just they're not even the same weight class, technically.

SPEAKER_02:

Technically, Crawford's still at 168. We don't know what he's gonna do. So is Boots moving up to fight him? And then if Crawford moves down to 160, like we all think he's gonna do, is Boots moving up to 160 to fight Crawford? Because Crawford made it very clear he's not going back to 154. So the fans are like, and I get it, I'm a I'm a fanboy. You know, I support TO through all his bullshit. But it's like, come on, man, like, stop. Stop.

SPEAKER_03:

His fan, his fans is annoying. My cousin is one of them. I'll say, how long you've been watching Boots for? I don't think it's been that long. He's like, Yeah, I've been watching for a minute.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, okay, but it's it's crazy to me because like, and then even some of the pundits, like I was watching Max Kellerman and them, yeah, and he's he knows his boxing. He's going boots versus Crawford right now, right? No, no, let's see Boots versus a live body at 154 before we start throwing him into goat conversations. Right now, Crawford is the goat of our generation from what he did, right?

SPEAKER_03:

Definitely the goat.

SPEAKER_02:

Let's and he's active. He's active. Yeah, he's older, but he's active. Let's see boots versus a live body at 154. Let's see him go get a belt at 154. Let's see him unify a belt at 154. Yeah, that's something he didn't do at 147.

SPEAKER_03:

That's what he said he is about to take over the the the uh 154. So I hope so. Let's see boots versus Madramov. Yeah, that's a great fight. That's a great fight. And now it's he stops him and then beats him decisively because crap was a close fight for Crawford.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, then we could just start talking about Crawford, but we can't just jump the gun like that.

SPEAKER_03:

154 that's nasty work. That is nasty work. Well, 154 is his man. 147 was his. He just decided not to stay there.

SPEAKER_02:

Well, the Stan Jonas when if he stayed there and fought like defended his belt and stuff, I'd be like, Yeah, this guy.

SPEAKER_03:

Just beating Stan Jonas while it was a great feat, and I was putting it right there, but Brian Norman is there.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, so is Haney.

SPEAKER_03:

And that's crazy. Bill, not to jump, like tell us, but Bill is a great matchmaker, so I wouldn't be surprised. I don't know, man. I wouldn't be surprised, but he was scared. His chin. I'm I'm trying to get it.

SPEAKER_02:

I know we're gonna hit him with some shit. He's gonna play defense.

SPEAKER_03:

He's gonna play defense. But what does it mean? You think he's gonna jab him to death, but yeah, that's too much. That's why I didn't want to jump in.

SPEAKER_02:

But no, I mean it's it's a valid point because if if Boots stayed at 147, there's big fights there, too. I don't think he could make the weight, though. I think he was having weight issues, so that's fine.

SPEAKER_03:

But he looked good, he looked like exactly what he's supposed to do. He finished him, but dude, how you get caught like that? Yeah, he's also fighting because that uppercut was from LeGuom, like and then he was and then he could have got hit.

SPEAKER_02:

He's getting cle he gets clipped in every fight.

SPEAKER_03:

He could have got rocked with that decent chin.

SPEAKER_02:

I gotta give him that. Decent chin.

SPEAKER_03:

He could have got rocked when he threw that uppercut and that shit landed and then hurt him. Cause that dude, oh man, I don't know how he got caught with that shit. It's like a matrix uppercut.

SPEAKER_02:

He just again. I I like Boots Ennis. I traveled to Atlantic City to see him. You know what I mean? I drove, I bought a ticket, I uh just to see him. And I'm I'm team Boots Ennis. I want to make that clear. I just don't like his fans jumping the gun like this. Like like when, and I hate to bring it up, but my guy, Tio, right? Yeah, when he moved up to to 1 uh 40, and uh uh what's his name, he took that first fight at 140. It was a no name, he knocked him out or whatever, not a big name. I wasn't like, yeah, yeah, let's see what he no, let's pump the brakes. Um there there's one name, there's one name I I could see Boots fighting. He needs an opponent.

SPEAKER_03:

Tim Zoo?

SPEAKER_02:

Keith Thurman.

SPEAKER_03:

Keith Thurman? Oh Keith Thurman's Keith at 154, man. I don't that I don't want to see it. Keith Thurman versus I don't want to see it.

SPEAKER_02:

But that what I'm saying is that's a name he could listen. I don't want to see it. Keith Thurman looked decent. He know he's a veteran, he knows what he's doing. I think Boots kills him.

SPEAKER_03:

But Zach, I'm good for Keith.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't want that for Keith. Now you're like, now you're building that resume, right?

SPEAKER_03:

I don't want that for Keith.

SPEAKER_02:

Whatever, I don't care.

SPEAKER_03:

Keith fight Tim Zoo or somebody else.

SPEAKER_02:

Fondora, he was about to fight Fondora.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh no, yeah, Fandora. That sucks that we're not getting that fight.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, and uh people hate on Fandora too, that he's a duck, this, that, the other. I'm like, I don't think he's a duck, but I think he actually got hurt. Uh Ramirez Boxing says Team Virgil Ortiz here. Yeah, man, we're we're Team Virgil too. I'm a big Virgil Ortiz fan.

SPEAKER_03:

We actually met him, he's cool as hell.

SPEAKER_02:

Good dude, always always active with fans on social media. Yeah, we raffled off one of his um an autograph we had of him, uh, and he responded to it. He's like, Yeah, that's real.

SPEAKER_01:

I was like, yes, fire.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, that was cool as hell. I missed that. I'm gonna have to get another one, Virgil, if you're listening. Probably not, but if you are listening. Um, but that that's the fight to make. Uh, Virgil Ortiz.

SPEAKER_03:

I just hope Virgil hands good.

SPEAKER_02:

Um, and yeah, yeah, he was he got a um fight coming up, too. Yeah, Lubin. We're gonna touch on that with try and stay on track. We're gonna touch on that too. We're gonna preview that a little bit. Um that's all. That's all I really gotta say. Boots, Ennis, all praise to you. I root for you, I like you. Again, I I took money out of my bank account and traveled to see you. Just you. You were the reason I went, you versus Stan Yonis to Atlantic City. Love it there.

SPEAKER_03:

Everybody was wearing um Tim Lans.

SPEAKER_02:

Yep. All of Philly showed out for you. You're a huge name in Philly. I love Atlantic City. There's trashy MIFs everywhere, it's right up my alley. But listen, uh, the fans need to pump the brakes. Everyone needs to let's see what he does at 154. There's big, big, hard-hitting names at 154. And again, I'm not mad at you. It's your fans. They need to stop. You can't be mentioning Crawford. Leave Crawford alone. Leave that man alone.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, my cousin will need to stop.

SPEAKER_02:

Name drop him. Who?

SPEAKER_03:

SRT John.

SPEAKER_02:

SRT John. DM you, John to send you a free shirt. Um SRT John.

SPEAKER_03:

No, he asked me about a hoodie too. He said, Where's my hoodie at? I gotta get him one.

SPEAKER_02:

Okay. I have I have uh I'll get him, I'll make him. I have the the shit. All right, yeah. SRT John Rivera's boxing over here.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, we gotta get him one too, though. Sub up for us, man.

SPEAKER_02:

You already know, like like the video while while we're on it, I wanna I want to put things into perspective real quick. Like Virgil Ortiz Jr., right? Yeah, his last three fights. I'm gonna name him. Okay. This is why he's a dog, bro. Madramov, Bojachek, and now Lubin's coming up. So and and if you want to get crazy, he even fought Mean Machine back in the day. That's a lot of stabs.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, a lot of stab.

SPEAKER_02:

What Terence Crawford just say what Terence Crawford just say recently about Meme Machine?

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, that is that is the hardest hitter he ever fought.

SPEAKER_02:

Like, so meme machine's no joke, and and he fought him pretty early. If if Ennis gets through Stanonis, say he fights Thurman, and then the ultimate matchup we want. Ortiz.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey Thurman, please.

SPEAKER_02:

But think about it. I think that's a good fight, man. That's a big move.

SPEAKER_03:

Leave Thurman out of it. No, no. Thurman fuck around, upset him.

SPEAKER_02:

The point I'm making, the point I'm making is, and you know what? Eddie Hearn's part to blame, and and Chris Algerier.

SPEAKER_03:

Eddie Hearns is doing a great job.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, Chris Algeri was speaking on this, and he's 100% right. Like, Eddie Hearn is doing what a promoter's supposed to do. He's a great promoter. He's making boots and his team like unlike great.

SPEAKER_03:

Like when he speaks about his fighters, it's just something different goes on.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, he's good. He's good at what he does, man. My boy got it. Give a gap. You know what? He speaks with passion. You feel it. You see it in his face.

SPEAKER_03:

He's he's like, I feel like he said the same thing about every fighter that he had, but it just felt different.

SPEAKER_02:

You know when you notice, you know when you notice when they cross him or when a fighter crosses him, and then the switch happens. You see the switch. He don't play it. Yeah, you see the switch.

SPEAKER_03:

Homie don't play that shit. You know, he get an attitude. Yeah, I yeah, you go. But uh speaking of him, speaking of who was one of the fighters that crossed him that uh Gerrell Miller and him.

SPEAKER_02:

Jarrell Miller, he was hyping up a little bit with the Anthony Joshua stuff, and then they they had some words. Tio Tia Fimo in him had some words.

SPEAKER_03:

I think T some more maybe.

SPEAKER_02:

I mean, he was never signed to him. I I can't think offhand, but there was definitely uh some some drama. Or no, when when you cross him, there's some heavy, heavy he's tough. But yo, he's a he's a good promoter, man. There's like drama going on too now with him and the TKO, but that's a whole nother story. And uh we'll we'll talk a little bit.

SPEAKER_03:

Ali act too about it.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, with the Aliak stuff. Um, I don't really know uh how I feel about that. I don't know. I don't know. We got we gotta see. We gotta give it some time. It's it's not a hundred it never mind. I don't want to talk about that right now because I don't want to get too political in it, and we I don't like talking politics and all that shit. So again, Eddie Hearn doing a great job promoting boots. He's a great fighter, he's a one-of-a-kind talent. Fans, let's pump the brakes. As a fan of boots, I'm always rooting for the American uh let's pump the brakes. That's all. That's all I'm saying. Going forward, though, we have to preview a few fights. Um, there's a heavyweight fight coming up October 25th. Joseph Parker versus Fabio Wardley out of London, speaking of Eddie Hearn in the UK. I smell money to be made on this fight. There is money to be made.

SPEAKER_03:

What kind of money do you think? Because uh I don't I'm looking like Parker's not that good, bro. He he can land something. I dude can land something.

SPEAKER_02:

Is Fabio Wardley that good?

SPEAKER_03:

No, but he can he can get he can hit something.

SPEAKER_02:

What have you done for me lately? What is the heavyweight division? You're right, and listen, uh I saw some shit this past weekend with my man heavyweight. Anything could happen, my guy Lorenzo. Uh-huh. Anything could happen in the heavyweight division if you're ready.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, exactly. One lucky punch, that's all if you're not ready.

SPEAKER_02:

Parker has been ready. Parker has been he how you come in that fat with abs. Parker's been coming in with abs. That's all I'm gonna say.

SPEAKER_03:

I don't know, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

Parker has been ready. But he's the odds is no money on him. But you're gonna I'm gonna bet knockout one through six. Oh and then I'm gonna bet I'm gonna hedge it with knockout six through twelve.

SPEAKER_03:

You might as well just take the other dude to win plus one hundred plus five hundred.

SPEAKER_02:

In the European market, while it is heavyweight, heavy, and they have the best heavyweights, Joseph Parker is a different tier, man. He knows that. Fabio, Fabio knows that he's just a different tier. Fury went on record once saying that like he's when he's in shape, he's a top three heavyweight. Joseph Parker's no joke, dude. Uh listen to his last three opponents.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, he'd been going crazy.

SPEAKER_02:

And say what you want about Wilder. Wilder's still dangerous. He was the first one to really, besides Fury, beat the bricks off Wilder, right? Zhang? And then nobody okay. Bacoli got off a plane, but look what he did to Bacoli. No one expected that. But the Zhang fight? Zhang is that was and listen, he was down twice in that fight and still dug deep to point it out. Whether you agree or disagree, he he won that fight, you know? So and Zhang is not nobody to fuck with. You get knocked down by Zhang, usually you stay down. Um, and you think Wardly, Wardley, Ward, whatever Fabio gets these looping punches, he's just he's just a better boxer. Man won. His jab is better, his IQ is better. There's there is Wardley needs a knockout, is what he needs. His durability. The thing with Wardly is he's been down too and came back, but the durability uh factor at this level with every attribute going towards um frickin' Parker. Uh you gotta go Parker here. Parker's gonna knock him out. You want to bet? It's been a while. It's been a while. Oh, hey, oh, oh been a while.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm not betting on that guy.

SPEAKER_02:

I smell money.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm not betting on that guy.

SPEAKER_02:

You know what I like about this fight? It's gonna be at like 4 p.m. American East Coast time, 5 p.m.

SPEAKER_03:

on a Saturday?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, October 25th, just in time to just go out to dinner, whatever you gotta do. You can watch some boxing. Maze? Oh, Halloween stuff?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Yo, let's talk about that shirt you got on real quick.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, shout out to the native boxing club, man. Let's talk about the hat too. Let's talk about the make boxing great uh president.

SPEAKER_02:

No, I'm just kidding. This guy is crazy. Make boxing great. I'm so happy about these hats. I just want everyone to know that Tiafimo Lopez sent these to the sparring himself for us. Yes, sir. You know how giddy that gets me?

SPEAKER_03:

We don't have to share either. He said enough.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, he did. He sent one of each. I would have shared though. I'm gonna share. Uh, but yeah, that that's that I really think he's gonna Wardley's only real advantage here is like youth. I think he's younger. I mean, but Parker's jab, uh Parker's gonna destroy him, dude. There's just levels, and and again, Parker there there's been rumors that I kind of started him, but there's been rumors that he's trying to there's been rumors that Usyk's duck in Parker.

SPEAKER_03:

So what does that tell you? What does that tell you? Oh no, man. He yes, Parker been going crazy. I just don't like him. I don't know why. Don't like him. Why? Every since since uh uh Turkey fucking kissed him on the cheek and shit, he got up in the ring and Turkey was holding hands with Crawford beat Zane. They held hands, basket weave and beat Zang. Come on, man. Zane was my guy, bro. Every single I'm like, yo, hell nah. Come on, come on, man. Come on.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't know, man. He's he's been what have you done for me lately? And he's done more for me lately than Verse better opposition than Parker conditioning.

SPEAKER_03:

If this shit goes past, yeah, but Parker's been why you and maybe um Parker knockout would be.

SPEAKER_02:

Think about the Zang fight. He got knocked down twice and went the distance with Zhang. His knockout would be look what he did to fucking he he nipped what's his name? Uh Bakoli, African Thunder. He nipped him, bro. Niped him and he got knocked out. Awesome. Come on, man.

SPEAKER_03:

Shut up. Come on. Um so and and so we we talk about heavyweights and shit. So you think um whatchamacallists there's some that could well.

SPEAKER_02:

I just saw some speaking of that though, can I interrupt real quick? Speaking of talking about heavyweights, right? So I was yeah, he's gonna come back or whatever. He's gonna come back.

SPEAKER_03:

No, I'm saying like he's he's not I got Eddie Hearns, like he not he don't want the uh Joshua fight or some shit.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, he does. They know how much money that makes Eddie Hearn. Shut up, Eddie. Yeah, yo, someone, a friend of mine said something to me.

SPEAKER_03:

He's like ducking Joshua for the Usyk fight again to lose again.

SPEAKER_02:

Who's Fury? Fury probably, as the competitor in him, he probably does want to fight Usyk again.

SPEAKER_03:

He wanna fight him again.

SPEAKER_02:

I mean, he was the closest, you know, like that first fight. He's the he feels he really believes he won. I don't think you can beat Usyk, though.

SPEAKER_03:

Usyk is Usyk is a topic.

SPEAKER_02:

Usyk's a generate right now, it's Crawford Usyk, neck and neck, and then you gotta throw In a way in there too, because he's that good. And that guy, bam, he's fighting soon too. But um, let's just talk about Usyk then. What is going on with Usyk? Apparently he had surgery, he didn't, and I'm not saying he doesn't deserve a break, he does deserve a break. And the rumor that I may or may not have started uh was wait, what is this rumor? I I kind of think he's Ducking Parker a little. Ducking Parker? Are you serious? Nah, not Ducking, but I don't know. Do you really like Parker like that? Me saying that lately, what I've seen in him, dude. He's coming to win. He he's fucking on fire. Watch, watch this fight. Yo, watch this fight, people bet Parker K O T K O. Please.

SPEAKER_03:

And then when he gets knocked out, come give me give me a sub.

SPEAKER_02:

DM DM me. I will send you$10 and a shirt. Just kidding. I'll send you a shirt. Send you a shirt at here. If we get knocked out, I'll send you a shirt win or lose, man. Just DM me. Uh speaking of sending shit, though, please follow the Instagram. I'm doing a giveaway with uh two two of the cards, the topp's chrome cards. Um, just you know, there's rules on there for that easy shit. Easy giveaway. I'm always giving, dude. I'm running out of shit. Look, my walls are clearing out. I'm running out of shit in here. Giving shit away. Oh no, I'll be spending money unboxing shit because I'm an idiot. You still got the garage. Um but let's stay on track with heavyweights. So I gotta touch on this quick. Um, out of all the divisions in boxing, right? And as we always say, the heavyweight division's wide open. Our guy, a friend of ours that became a friend of ours through this podcast, which is why I'm so grateful of this podcast. Close friend of mine now, Lorenzo Medina, right? The giant killer, TGK. Yeah, had a fight this weekend, hometown Hollywood. Uh, knocked the dude down in the first round, second round, he got knocked out, right? It's gonna happen in boxing, heavyweight boxing, especially. But the the point I wanted to make is in the heavyweight division, bro, anything could happen. They hit so damn hard. It's not like lightweight, it's not it's not like anything like that. They hit so damn hard that anything could happen. So when you're gambling on heavyweights, just be weary of that. You know, everything we just said about who uh Parker and and the I said about Parker, even Fury Fury got downed by Wilder twice in a fight, three times was it?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, and even with like Dubois dropping Dubois Dubois dropped him.

SPEAKER_02:

Shut the fuck up. Hit him in the dick. He hit him in the dick.

SPEAKER_03:

He dropped him, boy. That shit was right on the belt line.

SPEAKER_02:

Nah, but seriously, heavyweight boxing, bro, is crazy. Like, heavyweights gotta be perfect. All boxers have to be perfect in that at that level, but heavyweights, especially, because they hit so damn hard, bro. Even if they don't look at you, look at a dude, right? Oh, look at this fat guy, he's out of shape. He could crack. And and the fights that we're gonna parlay this into, or you know, I don't even know that's the right word, parlay, but whatever. I'm drinking again. Uh we're gonna um this this week, Damien Kniba at a Long Island Polish dude. The Polish dude he fighting. Yeah, he fought, he fought Joey Duenko. Duenko he fighting he just fought again? Yeah, he just fought this Saturday. He was on that card. He fought Joey, yeah. He fought Joey Duenko. Oh, wait, he's always in a New York card. He's but he's one of those MSG. The point I'm making about him is like he's he stays in shape. He doesn't take like a lot of heavyweight boxers, they'll take time off because you don't have to make weight. You know what I mean? Like they'll just be like, yeah, whatever. Nah, bro. He stays in the gym, stays running, stays disciplined, and and that at heavyweight is what you need. Um what is it? Yo, we got six viewers on here on YouTube. State yourself, state yourself, interact, message, please, follow, like, whatever. Ask me something. I don't care. Ask me something personal. I don't give a fuck. I'll send you a shirt. Uh really? Willie, help me out here, man. Um, yeah, but that that's the point I'm making. Like, just heavyweight boxing is so wide open right now, and and we need as Americans, we need a great American heavyweight, and I want all American heavyweight boxers to just stay in shape, stay disciplined, even if you get knocked down.

SPEAKER_03:

No, nobody, nobody you even said is what nobody you said is American.

SPEAKER_02:

I know that's what I'm saying, though, dude. There's there's like lower level Americans out there, but damn, we need somebody, right?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, somebody take the charge and this is an American.

SPEAKER_02:

Um, here's here's a good talking point. So we need Jarrett Anderson to make a comeback. I don't know what's going on. What is going on with him? He's another one. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03:

He just don't want it. His head's not in it. I don't know. The states they don't got the other Jarel Miller.

SPEAKER_02:

Jarrell Miller, he's another one. Like, what's going on with that? Nobody either wants to fight him, the states don't he's too risky, they don't they don't breed the heavyweights, man. It's annoying, man. But they do. There's a lower market, they just you gotta stay disciplined. Like our guy, bro, Lorenzo, right? He's still young, he's 20, 20 years old. Fast hands, great footwork, just needs to be a little disciplined, that's all. And it is what it is, but um I'm blowing up, not boxing related. Uh yeah, that that's all. Um, but but speaking of that, and and discipline, and then and I know it's easy for us to sit here drinking critique and say, I know it's hard, life takes over. Um, but there's another there's some other drama going on in the heavyweight division with a guy who's also young who they're hyping up to be the next Mike Tyson. Moses Itwama. Itama. Uh, he's another one they gotta kind of pump the brakes with a little bit, I think. But he is good, he has everything, he has the movement. Um, basically, Kubrat Pulev, which is is a top heavyweight, powerful to heavyweight, kind of slow, bad with in and out movement, so he's kind of food for Itama, but whatever. I'd like to see him versus a guy like that. He was ordered to defend his WBA heavyweight title versus him. Um, but there's one problem. He's also booked to fight Mirat Gasyev, who I don't know if you know him. What? Yeah, so I don't know what's going on in Dubai. Apparently, he's gonna fight him, but Gasiev is a live dog in that fight. I think he's small or whatever, but Gasyev could crack. Yo, what? So Yeah, I I don't know what's gonna go on with that. It was mandated. I don't know. I don't know what's gonna go on. So it was it was ordered to fight him in December, but he already has a fight planned. So who knows what's gonna happen.

SPEAKER_03:

December 12th and Dubai.

SPEAKER_02:

It's kind of the problem with these sanctioning bodies, is uh they're they seem to be a little confused. Uh just a little confused because those are some some bigger names in heavyweight boxing that they're they're booking mandatories and finally doing what you're supposed to, and they're kind of giving Nitama like a scheduled I don't know, but now they're gonna have to give Gasyev step aside money. And I don't know if Gasyev's gonna take it. He he wants a big name on his resume, and and that's a heck is he moved up if you remember uh Usyk fought Gasyev. So uh Gasyev finally moved up to heavyweight, he's like a Russian dude, powerful, straight power, not great footwork, but wait, wait, where the fuck where the fuck did he get this belt from? Who?

SPEAKER_03:

Who the WBA belt.

SPEAKER_02:

No, um oh oh yeah, Pulev got the WBA belt. Uh they strip belt. I do remember that, yeah. Cause because Jerrell Miller was actually supposed to fight him for that, I think. But they strip um no, he had the other four.

SPEAKER_03:

Like WBA don't really Oh, this is like an intern belt or something.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, yeah, I think. I don't know. I don't say that one. I I don't know. W nobody cares about the WA. It's WBO, WBC, IBF.

SPEAKER_03:

IBF, yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

And is it WBA? I don't know.

SPEAKER_03:

That's Wa. WBO.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

Hold on. I'm crying.

SPEAKER_02:

Whatever. Who cares? Too many belts. Uh Ramirez.

SPEAKER_03:

Wait, what color what color is the WBA belt?

SPEAKER_02:

Nah, it's the one no one cares about, bro. I'm pretty sure the WBA is the one nobody cares about. I'm so confused.

SPEAKER_03:

Like, where the fuck do you? I thought Usick's a big bigger one. Oh, yeah, it's the black one. No, it's the black one. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh, but I don't think it's a real belt. I don't think they're fighting for a real belt.

SPEAKER_03:

That's what I'm trying to say. Who the because unless they took WBA, yeah, I'm I'm bugging.

SPEAKER_02:

WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO. Those are the four belts. So Usix still has all four, though, so it has to be an inter. It's one of the interim belts.

SPEAKER_03:

That's what I'm saying. Like, they didn't even state it on here.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, WA WBA's black. Thanks, Ramirez. We're fucking bugging over here. Too many belts, too much. The one of them, though, one of the WBs or whatever, is it the IBF? One of them doesn't, we don't. Really recognize anymore in the four belt era, but whatever. Who cares? I don't I don't like to get into the belt drama. Fight for a belt, win a belt, win all the belts. That's the way I look at it. Uh Ramirez, though, says, What do you think of U.S. Olympian? Oh, don't forget Zufa. Yeah, I know. We're gonna speak on Zufa. They're gonna have their own belt too, apparently. Another belt.

SPEAKER_03:

They don't have their own belt.

SPEAKER_02:

Apparently, but I don't even want to get into that. What do you think of U.S. Olympian Richard Torres? I think he's I think he's good. I think he's in shape. Everything I spoke on earlier about heavyweights, like staying in shape, discipline. Yes, that's that's all him.

SPEAKER_03:

I I think he's a little is he just a top rank fighter. What do they just they like kind of like baby him up to levels?

SPEAKER_02:

And he's a cool dude, he's marketable, he's marketable. We met him a few times, he's awesome. He's mad. But I I just think his over-aggression might be his downfall when he fights a skillful fighter, a more skillful fighter. And if you look at him in the Olympics, when he fought a skillful fighter, he he didn't come out on top. But that being said, that's fixable. You could you could train to fix that, and he has the work ethic to fix that, and he's young, and he's he's the top rank, so they're gonna take care of him, yeah. Smart, smart guy, always in shape, though. Oh constantly in shape, which at heavyweight is hard to find. Even Fury and like top Usix, Usik's always in shape, and that's still he gotta fight, he gotta fight somebody, you know, soon.

SPEAKER_03:

Somebody soon.

SPEAKER_02:

I agree.

SPEAKER_03:

Um, we haven't really seen him get tested, really.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, Olegander. Oh, okay. Yeah, so Cobra Pulev is the W uh uh the regular, regular champion, whatever that means.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, so that's yeah, that hit so so that's the belt tank had before. Whatever.

SPEAKER_02:

He's the regular champion. I was gonna say Usek has all the belts. I'm so confused.

SPEAKER_03:

I think that I think Tank was a regular champion at 145 uh 130. Was Tank ever right?

SPEAKER_02:

Was Tank ever I'm just kidding, get you going.

SPEAKER_03:

Shut up.

SPEAKER_02:

Speaking of tank, though, let's get into it. Um, there was an announcement on the undercard.

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, there was an announcement on the undercard. Um, great announcement. Where are you going? Oh, Willie's leaving us. No, I didn't try my laptop. The announcement on the undercard was Anderson Silver versus Chris Wideman 2 in a boxing match. Um, on the undercard of the Tank Davis, Jake Paul. Again, I I don't like talking about exhibitions. This is like a real boxing podcast. We're real fans, but I have to give it up for Jake Paul, man.

SPEAKER_03:

He's always doing something crazy.

SPEAKER_02:

Dude, uh he knows how to get eyes on the fucking sport. I don't know what they're getting paid yet. I didn't look it up, but this this so so every boxing fan was gonna watch Tank no matter what. We're gonna watch Jake Paul. Jake Paul's like the Mayweather, not as good, but he's like, we root for him to lose, right? We root for him to lose. And now he adds Anderson Silver Chris Wide, but you know who that attracts? UFC. No matter every MMA fan and their mom are watching that, no matter, no matter what you think of them, whether they're old, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Damn. And you have all kinds of mixed, you got the black versus white thing you could do. You got all kinds of you got the the the greatest UFC uh kickboxing type. Chris Wideman, a dog, white dog. Like there's so many like narratives you could paint. Um and I'm just painting narratives. I'm not saying that's what it's gonna be. Eyes are on it. Eyes are on it. We're buying that pay-per-view now, right? Is it a pay per view? Is it on Netflix? I don't know.

SPEAKER_03:

Is it on Netflix?

SPEAKER_02:

I don't know. We're buying it though. Promoter, promoter, promoter, promoter, promoter. He's taking promoter, promoter, promoter. He is the only thing combating Turk. Think about it, dude. Only one Turk's gobbling and too. Other promoters are trying, they're trying, but he is he is literally he got every girl boxer. Yeah, he's got all them lined up. Also, speaking of girl boxes, where's Animal at, man? Huh?

SPEAKER_03:

Oh, yeah, yeah. That's what I'm uh she needs to pull up.

SPEAKER_02:

She's cool as hell. You should text her right now, bro. Pop in. Um, yeah, just yeah, we don't got time for that. Uh just crazy, crazy stuff going on there, man. And you know what? Honestly, in a straight boxing match, considering we've seen um Anderson box, yeah. I'm going Wideman, man. Oh, yeah, Chris Wideman, man, he's got that Long Island, Long Island boxing match juice in him, New York juice in him, and the silver and strictly boxing, dude. Strictly boxing. Uh, I mean, Anderson Silver is like lanky. See, now we're talking about it. Look what Jake Paul did. Yeah, look what this motherfucker did.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, UFC people gonna pull up, man. Yeah. Uh yeah, that's that's they're gonna get that payday, bro. They are gonna get money.

SPEAKER_02:

Um, who?

SPEAKER_03:

Or every that whole contact is yeah, tank's about to get paid. Go over time, man. Or something. Get the fuck out of here. Just the timing is so annoying.

SPEAKER_02:

Yo, there's a dude. I had a dude at the house today. Uh, like I had these cleaners come. I have cleaners come once a month. This dude clean the house. I'm like, yo, you like boxing? He's like, Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, Who's your favorite fight? He's like, Tank, and then we're talking about it. I actually gave him a hat, free stuff all the time. Uh, he follows though, so you gotta follow to get free shit. But he's saying tank, blah, blah, blah. And he was mad at Jake Paul. And I kind of explained him the money factor of it, but it is the timing, bro. Like, there's so many better fights for Jake or for Tank. He's as a boxing fan, and you know it, too. He's done. Yeah, he's done though. He's he should just move on, bro. But that brings us into like the mental aspect of boxing, the mental, the mental facts that we don't think of. You know what I mean? Like, we just look at these guys.

SPEAKER_03:

These motherfuckers train a lot, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

We just look at them as like baseball teams or basketball teams, like they're people, they're people with kids, with girl issues, same issues we have, aches, pains.

SPEAKER_03:

The animal, bro. She that was her first trip ever. Oh, that's her first, her first trip ever. Her first vacation ever. And she she's a world champion.

SPEAKER_02:

It's crazy, dude. Like she's is is like locked in.

SPEAKER_03:

That should be locked in, yo. That should take over their life, bro. Um but yeah, I mean and coming from where Tink came from, and then with and then the people that he was around, he's he better get up out of there because none of them end up good. A B he's talking about for those that don't know, Spence, all them things, they didn't end up no type of good.

SPEAKER_02:

That the the animal that friend of the show Willie met on a cruise, actually, randomly. Puerto Rican, right? Uh I think she's port. I think she's Puerto Rican, bro. I could be wrong. I don't I don't know. Whatever. She's from Tampa, Florida, but Jasmine Artiga or Artega, am I saying that right? Yeah, I think she uh she's a WBA super flyweight champion. Um, but yeah, she so Willie met her on a cruise, and she said, This is my first vacation ever, and she's not young, you know. She's she's yeah, which is cool.

SPEAKER_03:

I got some other fun facts, but when we do the interview, I'm asking. Oh, like no, she well, she told me anyway. Like fun, fun. Huh? Like what kind of fun? No, that girl is talented.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, yeah. All right, all right. Well, we'll so we're we're gonna interview her eventually.

SPEAKER_03:

I just saw uh asked her for a one 1v1 today because she was playing basketball.

SPEAKER_02:

She's good. I don't know yet. Like better than me, you know. My defense is locked down, bro. She probably cooked you. Willie, Willie, Willie didn't like my defense. He goes, You annoying.

SPEAKER_03:

I cooked your whole team. You annoying, bro. You annoying. I cooked that whole team. You annoying. You annoying. All right, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

Like my little white ass.

SPEAKER_03:

Uh I gotta play ball with um jihad. Yeah, yeah. Apparently he plays a lot. A lot of people play ball. I want to see Crawford play ball in real like real life.

SPEAKER_02:

I'm actually apparently he's nice. Like, yeah, he fucking dudes up at what it looks like.

SPEAKER_03:

I heard him, I heard Shako's nice at ball.

SPEAKER_02:

So little I body him.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_02:

Um what did he say? Uh Ramirez Boxing says MVP had a card this weekend in South Padre Island, Texas. I went to support Sheruta Chikon Methcalf. It was the zone and prelims were on YouTube. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And MVP dude is doing their thing, bro. For real. And their cards are decent. There was decent fights on that. They said there was like round of the year on that. Like I watch the MVP cards too because they're signing good prospects and they're they're dishing out money.

SPEAKER_03:

They're getting paid over.

SPEAKER_02:

So so it's also good because again, I've said it before, Ramirez. Um nobody nobody is here to combat Turk, right? Turk's just throwing money. The one thing MVP has that can combat Turk is that whole other fan base. Those those on the fence boxing fans, those kids, the YouTubers, our our parents, even with the Netflix shit. Like, that's the one thing Jake Paul has to combat combat um Turk, which is cool to see. You want competition, and then that brings us into a whole nother topic, which I don't really want to get into because it's political, but it's with the uh the Ali Act and blah blah blah blah blah. I have mixed feelings about it. Um, I get both sides, but we we gotta speak on something. Um, another promotion that's coming up in the game, or trying to come up in the game, and their leader, their fearless leader, like Jake Paul, is fighting to promote his promotion. We gotta speak on an event. I'm kicking myself in the ass for not going to.

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

The Brooklyn Show. Danny Garcia. Danny Garcia came back with his promotion, promoting fighters in Barclays. It was like a farewell to Danny. I'm so mad.

SPEAKER_03:

Is it farewell from the Barclays or just farewell from boxing, apparently?

SPEAKER_02:

But he said some things after, you know, with a knockout like that. So Danny Garcia knocks his. I mean, the whole card was kind of like, yeah. That's why I didn't go. But I knew, and what I say to you, I was like, damn, I might go. Because it's a lot, because it's in the you know, us fanboying, networking, ringside, the prices for ringside dropped. I was about to pull it out.

SPEAKER_03:

You said you said 600, I said no.

SPEAKER_02:

It went from yo, ringside, ringside, or not ringside, but floor, floor seats, right? On the floor. That's once you go to a boxing match, and I'm not trying to sound like scum, scummy, but once you go to a boxing match and you know now, sit on the floor, you can never sit anywhere else.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Like you can, you just might as well watch on TV. It's way better. Drink with your boys. But sitting on the floor was went from 600 to 230, it got down to 230 to sit on the floor. So you think they made money during this fight? No. Our our boy, ticket guy, told me he's like, this is a disaster. A disaster. But but when that happens, they usually give tickets out to all the celebrities and they all pop in to make it look like it was crazy. And this is no sweat against Danny Garcia. He's in the promo promo game, he's gonna learn. Um everyone was out there, man. All the local fucking all the local peoples were out there.

SPEAKER_03:

The guy was there.

SPEAKER_02:

Who? Which one Flats was there? Flats was there, the other guy was there, Tio was there, yeah.

SPEAKER_03:

The other guy was there, Danny Jacobs was there. I got a lot of guys.

SPEAKER_02:

Who? Fabulous? Andre Birto. Oh, Andre Bato, the bot. Birto the bot was there. Yeah, there was a lot of heads out there, and it would have been cool to mingle. All the podcasters were out there. I wasn't. Sorry guys, I had no skin in the game. You know what I did do though? I went out to dinner with the wife and got in a fight. And the whole time, the whole time we're arguing, I'm like, damn, I should have gone to this Brooklyn card. I was gonna go by myself, even. I knew enough people out there. I was gonna just go shoot by myself. Like, Willie, where were you, man? You if you would have said no. If you would have said, let's go.

SPEAKER_03:

No, I already had my I was going to my my reunion, man. It was fun.

SPEAKER_02:

We gotta we can't hit every card. We gotta take some Saturdays off. But but the next fight in New York City, no matter what, it's time.

SPEAKER_03:

You gotta go to your school reunion. Did you have one?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, I didn't go.

SPEAKER_03:

You gotta go, bro. This shit is fun. For what? I don't gotta go. All the people that used to you used to bully, uh yeah, but like who cares?

SPEAKER_02:

I was gonna bully them still, even if they're good looking.

SPEAKER_03:

Nah, bro. It's fun seeing them people, man. It was fun in school.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, you see anybody you used to bully? I didn't bully nobody. But anybody you didn't like? Are you still? I liked everybody. You lying ass. Lying ass. What do you mean? You liked everybody in high school?

SPEAKER_03:

I'm mad chill, bro. I don't be caring. That wasn't the question. You liked everybody. I didn't know nobody's name. Yo, I wasn't there. Like, I was everybody was coming to this girl. Go say, You know who is best friend in third grade? I was like, huh? She's like, What's my name? I said, uh, start with an eight. She looked like Christina. She looked okay. She was jumping over everybody. I was like, she's lucid with the goosey.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, Christina. I should have came to your freaking reunion. Oh Nick.

SPEAKER_00:

Remember?

SPEAKER_03:

No, that shit was crazy. I was like, yo, these none of the bad joints came though. Like none of the Dominican joints. None of the Dominican joints that we had. We had a mix of everything.

SPEAKER_02:

All right, anyway.

SPEAKER_01:

Shit.

SPEAKER_02:

Um, keeping it boxing, keeping it boxing. Speaking of bullying, though, we we gotta touch on uh let's talk about the card though. Actually, we we gotta stay on track. The Brooklyn show.

SPEAKER_03:

It was nothing to we could talk about the knockout. Yo, did that dude break his ankle?

SPEAKER_02:

I don't know what happened. I don't, I don't even. I saw the hook.

SPEAKER_03:

That's why somebody woke up walking up to me uh at on the on on a truck today, and the garbage truck was like, uh he's on a roll-off, like, yo, that dude got his ankle broken by Danny Garcia.

SPEAKER_02:

I kind of I'm kicking myself for two reasons. One for not going and mingling with everybody, getting tipsy with with with all the boxing nerds. Yeah, two, I should have I knew Danny Garcia was gonna knock his ass out. It's his promo, it's his show. He wouldn't go in there to a fight, he's gonna lose. I don't know, but I just knew he was gonna knock his ass out, and he did with a crazy nice tight hook. But let me ask you something. Um and you might have to think about this for a second, but this is the question going around now. And shout out to our boy.

SPEAKER_03:

Is he a Hall of Famer?

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, shout out to our I'll meet that.

SPEAKER_03:

I was gonna ask you that. Yeah, wait, but you the you the one as the uh historian of this show. I'm not a historian, but uh I you have but he has some fucking names. I don't know if because I was watching a show today.

SPEAKER_02:

He's a two-division world champ.

SPEAKER_03:

Is he so is he better than Sean Porter? Sean Porter's up this year. Yeah, I mean Triple G is up this year.

SPEAKER_01:

He uh has but uh he never he didn't beat Sean Porter, he didn't beat Sean Porter. No, he didn't beat Sean Porter.

SPEAKER_03:

I don't know, it's a tough one and beat Errol Spence.

SPEAKER_02:

He didn't beat any top names, really. Ah, can't say that. He did beat some top names, but but he fought Keith, right?

SPEAKER_03:

Uh Amir Khan, he beat he fought mad people, yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Sam Judah, but they were older. Eric Morales is probably his best win, but he he was older as well. I don't know, man. I don't think the inactivity kind of yeah, he didn't uh haven't fought in my I don't know.

SPEAKER_03:

For me, it's a it's a no for me dog.

SPEAKER_02:

But what about what Sean Porter is a yes?

SPEAKER_03:

So I like Sean Porter. Yeah, but if you like him, I like I love Danny Garcia, I like him a lot. Is Sean Porter won? Do he even had the accolades? Like how many how how many division chances did he was champ?

SPEAKER_02:

Oh yeah, I think he was a belt holder. He fought everybody. He's a dog, that's what he's known for.

SPEAKER_03:

But and and what he do for the sport outside of the shit, too. Did that count?

SPEAKER_02:

No, shit, damn. I mean, he was inducted into Nevada Hall of Fame. I don't know. It's tough. It's tough. Sean Porter almost slapped me once. That was cool. Huh? Yeah, he was like, get your fucking hand out my face. I was taking a picture with him, and I was like, This. He like smacked my hand. He's like, get your fucking hand out my face. I was all drunk.

SPEAKER_03:

Your hand must smell like ass.

SPEAKER_02:

Nah. Uh it was like he was like kidding, but I was like, oh shit. You know, when you're drunk, you're like, oh fuck, this might get real. Let me get the fuck out of here. Um, yeah, I don't know. Listen, I get what he's doing for his promotion. I get why he did it again. I should have bet it. I should have bet the knockout, saw it, saw it, and I didn't bet it. I saw it coming. But going forward, when when I have a when you have a gut feeling, this goes for everybody. Go with your gut, because I should have gone, dude. I should have fucking went. Instead, I bought a mad expensive dinner, didn't even get fucking, you know, love made after because we were fighting. So guess what?

SPEAKER_03:

Today is Monday.

SPEAKER_02:

It's Monday. It is Monday. What does Monday mean?

SPEAKER_03:

I don't know. You and your wife told me. Shut up.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh yeah, whatever. What's next for Danny Garcia though? He he says he's 85% in he's 85% retired. He need to go.

SPEAKER_03:

Or fight. He's not gonna fight at in Philly. Yeah, where he's from.

SPEAKER_02:

Nah, just keep promoting. Keep promoting. Um Giovanni Scuderi was there. He hit me up.

SPEAKER_03:

Like when they all right, so who's he promoting?

SPEAKER_02:

Him?

SPEAKER_03:

Yeah, he got his own fighters.

SPEAKER_02:

I mean, they're all Philly, all Philly heads. Everyone, everyone on that card really was like part of his. I guess.

SPEAKER_03:

He got that um young kid, the Colleone.

SPEAKER_02:

I think, yeah. I think he everyone on the card, I think, dude. I don't think I mean though there were some top-ranked fighters, because again, Damien Kniba was on the card. He's a top ranked. Uh I don't know. He didn't.

SPEAKER_03:

We seen him at the the joint. Remember, we seen him at the To uh Meet and Greek. Oh, oh, oh. And he had he had a stoppage. Yeah, he's good.

SPEAKER_02:

He's real good.

SPEAKER_03:

Is that how you say his name?

SPEAKER_02:

No, fuck. I can't think of the name right now. I'm fucking I know you're talking about the Puerto Rican dude. Yeah, yeah. He he is on the come up, he's good. Um but I don't know. I I think he he's gonna learn like he definitely lost money on this promotion. So I I think he's gonna learn like, damn, this is harder. This business, the business side of boxing, this often happens, it's a lot harder than it looks.

SPEAKER_03:

You gotta have those names, man.

SPEAKER_02:

And Barclays wants their money. That's a bank at the end of the day. Barclays is a bank, they want their money. So tickets ticket prices drop like that. It's not a good sign. Good sign for us. I should have gone kicking myself.

SPEAKER_03:

You should have had it at the U UBS.

SPEAKER_02:

They never have fights. They should. Uh they had I saw I saw I would have had free the old one, the old one, not UBS, but where they used to play. Uh Danny Jacobs fought there, yeah. And Jarrell Miller. I saw him at the Nessel Coliseum. Yeah, that was cool. But alright, let's uh let's stay on track. We're gonna wrap this up soon. Short show next Sunday. You good Sunday?

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02:

Uh we have a special guest, friend of the show coming on pro. It's a female. She has a special announcement, very special announcement. She said verbatim Sunday fun day. So she's gonna come ripped up. You think so? Oh gosh, not again. I can't wait. Uh clip this motherfucker. Yeah. But uh yeah, we we do have to speak on. We spoke on him earlier. A fight coming up. Um, we'll close out the show with this November 8th. We're a few weeks out again because next Sunday we're gonna interview a professional Virgil Ortiz Jr. versus Ericsson Lubin in Fort Worth, Texas. The zone, the zone card. Um, with boxing's energy being cooled off lately. Uh, this fight right here could kind of re reinvent regenerate that fire, right? Like Ericsson Lubin isn't a nobody. I mean, it he's not he's not perfect, but he's a perfect test for for Virgil Ortiz Jr.

SPEAKER_03:

We really think so.

SPEAKER_02:

With everything there's a lot of pressure on Ortiz, dude.

SPEAKER_03:

I'm gonna we was at the fight, we was at the fight.

SPEAKER_02:

I couldn't remember his name.

SPEAKER_03:

Like, who the I know him?

unknown:

What the fuck?

SPEAKER_03:

Oh man, we gotta do better, bro.

SPEAKER_02:

Well, it's always at the end we're drinking at a fight, and then we're like, who the fuck? I know this guy. Nah, but listen. Lubin Lubin is smart and skilled enough to make it competitive. He he's he's been in there with dogs, you know what I mean? He has ring IQ, but but Ortiz is different, dude. That that pressure and those body, those whipping body shots, it are gonna be problems for Lubin. He'd be sharp, too. But speaking of pressure, there's a lot of pressure on Ortiz, and and the pressure on Ortiz is what's happening in the future. Because there's a lot of things lined up for him based off this performance. You know what I mean? Like we they're they're mentioning Terrence Crawford. That's a fight that could be made easy at 160. I know he'd have to move up, but then at 154, there's a name that we all want. We spoke on earlier. These boots are made for walking right to fucking Virgil Ortiz. So that fight is a mega fight, massive fight. Um, there's all the other champions at 154 that are great fights. So uh yeah, that there's a lot of pressure on on all the pressure is on Ortiz. Lubin's got nothing to lose, he knows what he has to do, he's skilled enough to make it tough. I just don't think he has the power to to stop Ortiz in his tracks. You know what I mean? That the power you need power to to really like thud him, like slow him down. What was that? And and I don't think Lubin has that.

SPEAKER_03:

Um hey, uh yeah, this this is not lasting.

SPEAKER_02:

No, I don't I don't I think late late round stoppage. I think he's smart enough to do what he can, but yeah, I don't uh Lubin's a slick boxer, he's a skilled, talented, strictly boxing pugilist. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. But so is Ortiz, and Ortiz is gonna punch with you. And when Ortiz punches with Lubin, I think it's all over for Lubin. Unfortunately, I like Lubin.

SPEAKER_03:

And they probably um Lubin probably gonna have a like you know, try to get this the shit off his shoulder because yeah, they try to disrespect him with the uh with the posting. Did you see that? Yeah, even called it out.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't like what you made me so little.

SPEAKER_03:

They made me so little got him in the got Ortiz in the moon, like big ass Ortiz.

SPEAKER_02:

Yeah, that was fun. Um, listen, he knocked down Fandora, that's like his claim, but like hitting Fandora, it's clear that you can uh Ortiz is just different, man. Listen, it can Ortiz's hand hold up. That's all. This is the first fight since it's hand injury, so can this hand up? I just think it's all over for him.

SPEAKER_03:

But again, I think nobody even knew about the hand injury. I know we didn't we did.

SPEAKER_02:

We went to shake his hands.

SPEAKER_01:

Like, oh no, no, no, no, no, no. What the fuck's going on? Like, how the hell do you motherfuckers know?

SPEAKER_02:

Um, that's really it. Uh, if you're if you're listening or following, like, follow, subscribe, uh, put your bets in. I'm doing Ortiz Junior stoppage. I'm parlaying this. Uh, October 25th, Joseph Parker, K-O-T-K-O, Ortiz Junior, K-O-T-K-O, November 8th. That's my Sparlay. I'm locking that in. Willie may not agree with me on the Joseph Parker shit, but heavyweight boxing is different. Uh, like, follow, subscribe. Next Sunday, you're good, Sunday, right? For sure. Yeah, I'm good. We're locked in. We're gonna be interviewing someone. They're gonna be coming in. Shout out to Tia Fimo Lopez. Thank you for the hat. Shout out, Tio kept his word. If you didn't catch that, catch that interview. The takeover. He sat down and had a talk with us. He's got a big fight coming up in the beginning of next year. Apparently, it's either gonna be Africa or Shakur.

SPEAKER_03:

So where the fuck did Africa do come from?

SPEAKER_02:

Um, you know, we saw him fight. They were in Brooklyn talking shit, and they have the same manager. So it's one of those two. Either one is fine with me. I'd rather Shakur, obviously, dare to be great. Yeah, that's why. But listen, if you want to unify belts on your way, unify belts.

SPEAKER_03:

I thought he was confirming that way.

SPEAKER_02:

Maybe we don't know. But you know, it's boxing. You don't know anything until they're in the ring, actually in the fucking ring. That's all I got. You got anything else, Willie? You want to shout anything out? Shout out that shirt, bro. 1977, Native Boxing Club.

SPEAKER_03:

That shit was better than that far.

SPEAKER_02:

I don't know.

SPEAKER_03:

SPEAKER_02:

SPEAKER_03:
