Undisputed Champ Again: How Crawford Made History Against Canelo
Terence "Bud" Crawford shocked the boxing world and cemented his legacy as an all-time great by dominating Canelo Alvarez to become a three-division undisputed champion. We break down every aspect of this historic performance and what it means for boxing's landscape.
Crawford's masterful lateral movement, superior hand speed, and perfect game plan completely neutralized Canelo's offense. Despite moving up two weight classes, Crawford made boxing's biggest star look ordinary, winning virtually every round through superior ring generalship and boxing IQ. The victory places Crawford firmly atop the pound-for-pound rankings and into the conversation of boxing's greatest fighters ever.
The weekend wasn't just about the main event though. We dive into the absolutely thrilling slugfest between Lester Martinez and Christian Mbilli that stole the show on the undercard. With both men throwing non-stop combinations for 10 rounds, this potential Fight of the Year candidate ended in a draw that left fans clamoring for a rematch.
We also discuss Naoya "Monster" Inoue's victory over Murodjon Akhmadaliev in Japan, Calum Walsh's performance against Fernando Vargas Jr., and what might be next for both Crawford and Canelo. Could Crawford be eyeing a move to middleweight for yet another championship? What does the future hold for Canelo after this definitive defeat?
Join us for this deep dive into one of boxing's most significant weekends in recent memory, as we analyze the fights, performances, and what they mean for the sport going forward.
it's time for the main event.
Speaker 2:It's the sparring podcast yo, we are five, four, three, two, one. We are live technical difficulties. As usual, I didn't click mute, but we're here, will Willie? We made it A little late.
Speaker 1:Better late than never. Oh, my goodness.
Speaker 2:What's up? Willie? Just got back from a cruise Making it out here Tired.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, Vacation is a scam. You go on vacation and you don't relax.
Speaker 2:I don't know, you brought your kid too, right, yeah, and you don't relax.
Speaker 1:I don't know you brought your kid too, right? Yeah, where'd you go? It was on the Rory Caribbean cruise. Man, I recommend that shit. I've been on a cruise. It's fun Very fun. I wish I paid for the drink package.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I told you that. I told you that man.
Speaker 1:You gotta do that beforehand. I rarely drink anyway, but I wasn't in the mood. Anyway. Having the kids, that shit was fun. Let me just make sure we're on this. It was like a family reunion on there. We took a whole big picture, the whole family, and it was cool. Man, I would never went on a cruise.
Speaker 2:All right, but on that cruise did you watch Terrence Crawford man making me proud to be an American?
Speaker 1:They don't show the fights on cruises. Well, on this cruise.
Speaker 2:Did you ask the bar?
Speaker 1:Yes, we went down there. Yeah, that's how I met Jasmine Ortega man. Yeah, really meeting pros on the cruise.
Speaker 2:Champion Boxing small world man WBAga man. Yeah, really meeting pros on the cruise. Champion Boxing's small world man.
Speaker 1:WBA champion man and we watched it on her laptop. Was there other people gathering around, or just you two? It was only four or five boxing fans my cousin, my cousin, that's got to be annoying.
Speaker 2:Why couldn't they put it on Netflix?
Speaker 1:Were you out of country no, I mean the I don't think tv get netflix that they had at the bar maybe uh, but they can't use um combat sports. We're trying to pay them a hundred dollars and really yeah, why? Because, um uh, because they didn't want family friendly crews and they didn't want to.
Speaker 2:That's lame. Yeah, that is lame, but I was here, I watched it. Uh, my friend george came over, just low-key, low-key, but the fight was not low-key, the whole event was not low-key. I am so damn happy, dude, I'm gonna go off on a tangent. I swear I am you're satisfied by this. Oh, the whole event. Yeah, yeah, I guess you could say I was satisfied. Uh, what I don't get is like you're paying that much money to sit ringside or go to this event. The whole event. Yeah, yeah, I guess you could say I was satisfied. What I don't get is like you're paying that much money to sit ringside or go to this event, like nosebleeds were $400. I'm going to the under undercard. I'm going to be in there while they're setting the ring up. I'm not leaving.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:That's just me, though. The energy in Las Vegas was awesome. It felt like a festival. It was just amazing to see All the celebrities were out there. I got to go to Vegas, man.
Speaker 1:I really got to go to Vegas. I didn't get really to see everything that would involve with it. It was hard, because watching it on the phone is not the same as watching it on the TV.
Speaker 2:The whole weekend, though, was well, the whole Saturday was amazing because in the morning there was an Irish was was. Well, the whole saturday was amazing because in the morning there was some irish, an irish title fight for the ibf. We had lewis crocker versus patty donovan too. That was great, um great like warm-up to lead into the, the big boxing. All I did was just where was that at in ireland? No, I'm thinking, well, oh, a matchroom. It was a lewis crocker versus patty donovan too decent fight. They show it on, though. Oh, dazon, oh, I'm going to talk about it a little bit. Nothing too crazy. Again, it was a little out of market. But hey man, there's a new man with a title at Welterweight. So it's interesting, interesting stuff. And then, obviously, we're going to go on a few tangents about that. What else do we got? We got the undercard on that. There was a banger. Did you watch? Lester Martinez versus Christian and Billy.
Speaker 1:That was crazy. I rewatched it. Banger, they was not playing.
Speaker 2:That was a fight of the night, yeah definitely, and I don't know if Dana White did the fucking fight of the night money or whatever did the, if Dana White did the fucking fight of the night money or whatever they need to pay the knockout, pay them for extras because they they will talk about that.
Speaker 2:Kalen Walsh was on the undercard versus Fernando Vargas Jr Some fake beef there, but it's pretty much what I expected to happen. I thought Kalen would have been able to knock him out. We'll talk about that a little bit. And yeah, but the next day in the morning, a fight that everyone forgot about. That was very hyped. That was today.
Speaker 1:That was today.
Speaker 2:Sunday morning yeah.
Speaker 1:Sunday morning.
Speaker 2:Inoue versus Ahmed Ali in Japan. But that was also a great fight, good, interesting fight. Inoue did his thing. He is just also great. But let's just talk about the event. Event, vegas, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. The national pride that america has now.
Speaker 1:Oh, man, now everybody love black people back there, what?
Speaker 2:no, it wasn't nothing like that listen, I I gotta eat some crow.
Speaker 2:I did not think Mayweather could do it, or not? Mayweather, see, see, that's how good he is now. I did not think Crawford could do it. Man, I really didn't Jumping up two weight classes Canelo did. Canelo lost this fight. I'm not taking anything away from Crawford. Crawford did amazing His movement. He clearly did his homework. But to me, canelo's lost this fight. You know what I mean.
Speaker 2:Like he, he did everything we all talked about, all the boxing pundits talked about he shouldn't do, and that's exactly what he did. That one punch plotting style. Yeah, he really can't cut the ring off. Uh, crawford, side to side movement Wasn't that great. It wasn't like anything fancy, it wasn't quick. He just kept moving side-to-side and then Canelo would throw this looping hip check. He kept trying to go to the body with this looping hook. That wasn't working and he kept doing it and continued to do it and I think shame on his team. I think he's kind of like a yes man now Can't really tell him nothing. He, I think he's kind of like a yes man now Can't really tell him nothing.
Speaker 1:He made like $100 million, I guess, on this fight. But damn, All praise be Terrence Crawford man. Can somebody else?
Speaker 2:get their props? Who? Oh you, yeah, you did call it.
Speaker 1:Only one that called pretty much exactly how it was going to go.
Speaker 2:Boxing.
Speaker 1:Boxing, boxing, that's what you call boxing man. Um, but crawford don't get enough credit. I knew after that with him with, uh, arrow spins. I'm like I'm never doing that again. Yeah, he steamrolled arrow spins, yeah, and everybody was making it like, seem like the size was crazy. The size was not crazy, but bud did his thing. Man, boxing clinic man, I didn't. And he was stood there in a pocket throwing punches, that what?
Speaker 1:his hand speed was way faster than canelo, you know just basically on activity alone he really made canelo look like an amateur look mediocre, look very mediocre he definitely did. I'm like and and people was like oh, he ran the whole fight where he didn't run, he was.
Speaker 2:He was side to side, just side to side. Pot canelo was just pop shotting again and and this is just proof, I mean, yeah, that works against the, the berlangas and and the other guys not at that tier. Yet you know what I mean. And something else crawford did by winning this fight. Uh, he says he's going to 160. Now right, I don't think he's going to stick around at 168, he wants to fight at 160. He'll probably grab another belt there and become a four, four weight champ.
Speaker 2:Imagine four, weight undisputed yeah that's gonna take some time though, because, uh, those guys have to fight each other, yeah, um, but but him at 160.
Speaker 2:But him at 160, he does work, terrence Crawford that is, and he definitely could grab a belt there, I see. But what he did now, which I love, is he basically I call him a hostage negotiator because Canelo isn't holding those belts hostage anymore. He took them, he went in there, sniped them out and got the freaking belts man, and now, if he goes down in weight and gets rid of the belts, now we have some good, good fights at 168. I'm curious to see if Benavidez comes back down. That's. The only reason he went up to 175 is because Canelo wasn't fighting him.
Speaker 1:I've seen that I think Turkey was like can Benavidez make 168? Yeah, but to fight Crawford, I don't think that's going to happen.
Speaker 2:I don't like that one, no, and I don't think Crawford's going to do that either. And Crawford's done enough, man, he don't need to do no more, really no, no.
Speaker 1:He took on the biggest challenge ever.
Speaker 2:Like I did not think.
Speaker 1:And nobody thought he was going to do it.
Speaker 2:Nah, I knew he wasn't going to knock him out, oh yeah, oh yeah, all the fighters is in here, Lorenzo.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, I was doubting me. He said Willie, shut up, you don't know, go dump garbage cans Lorenzo bet on him, though, because he texted me he bet on him. Yeah, Wow he bet on him.
Speaker 2:But listen, crawford is just a dog, dude, he's a dog. I just wish Canelo would have let his hands go. I mean the punch stats. It was 338 punches thrown according to CompuBox for Canelo, 99 landed. Crawford had 534 thrown, 115 landed. But the spots that he landed those punches in to win rounds was to win rounds and just throwing 534 punches compared to Canelo's plot shotting, it was just crazy and I don't know why Canelo and his team like what was being said in there. I don't speak Spanish.
Speaker 1:I mean, he probably couldn't do nothing. Man, he couldn't do it. Still, though you got to change it up, he did the same shit. He probably had that mentality that yo, I'm going to just power. I'm going to show him what 160 is about, 168 is about, by what Punching his hip?
Speaker 2:He just kept punching his hip.
Speaker 1:He thought that power was going to actually do something.
Speaker 2:He throws no jabs Again. He's an all-time great, A legend. Almost Canelo, you could say he's a legend, I think.
Speaker 1:Triple G said he don't punch that hard.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but Triple G's got chin-wise he got a rocket yeah, it's not that when you're defensive, when you're just focusing solely on defense, and Canelo's doing what we said, he needs not to do. This one punch, these one punch, not even short punches, these looping one punch power shots time and time again, with no combos.
Speaker 1:He wouldn't even lead his way in, he did keep the pressure up on him, I'll give him that I really didn't see no feints, nothing, nothing that he usually do.
Speaker 2:Very, very mediocre, and a testament to Crawford for making him look very mediocre. I don't know what's next for Canelo.
Speaker 1:Do you think Canelo really just maybe froze up?
Speaker 2:No, I think he froze up.
Speaker 1:I think his style.
Speaker 2:Crawford. One thing Crawford didn't bite was all the hype. You know what I mean. Like you saw, listen, that stadium. They broke the records for attendance. I know it's new, but still that stadium was top to bottom filled once they came out. And that's what Canelo does he threads the needle, he's the money and, listen, crawford didn't bite into it. Like, I think, berlanga saw the hype, you know what I mean. The lead up the fight week, caleb Plant was probably like whoa, what is going on? This is crazy and the nerves kicking.
Speaker 1:You know what I appreciate. I appreciate Bud. I appreciate Bud. You know he went through all this right, yeah, went all through this and his greatness, he took less damage. He's one of those people sound like Floyd no damage to. He did all this greatness, no damage. He took no damage, dude, and literally took no damage, zero damage whatsoever. Wait, he got dropped, maybe once. Who?
Speaker 2:crowford. Crowford kind of not really, it was, wasn't. That's who he said was the hardest puncher in the post fight. Uh, mean machine, I thought he got. He got dropped, but they didn't count it to me, he definitely got dropped, but again now.
Speaker 1:Now he just oh, that's why they said that he never got dropped his mentality dude, and I said it before I. I said that I said it too. Yeah, me and Shushu was talking about that shit.
Speaker 2:Yeah the one thing he has is that Mamba mentality, that thing you can't teach. You saw that little Mount Rushmore post that was fire.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and that's what I mean. Mentalities, yeah, tom Brady, michael Jordan, michael Jordan, kobe, that you can't teach like you could. Some say Derek Jeter has that like you, just win, win, win, win, win in everything he does. And leading into this, that's really what happened. I, I don't know. Canelo looks like he's getting more and more flat-footed dude. Yeah, it's it's time for Canelo to retire. I think I. Why? Because he's done it.
Speaker 1:You know what I mean. It's he do. He do got a lot of fights, man, he's got a lot of fights. I'm, I was just like yo he's. He brings the um like the old school. His record is like an old school record yeah, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2:You'll never see that again, you'll never see the ramp record or something like up there.
Speaker 1:he's getting up there if he keep on fighting and if he he could, if he want to. Honestly, he's still the money man, he's still the Mexican great, he is.
Speaker 2:Oh, dude, he still sells. People were crying. Dude, he's got real fans.
Speaker 1:He just don't fight that style.
Speaker 2:One of his Crybaby fans might join us. I'm waiting. He's an old, old fan. Now he's a fan of the show. You know who I'm talking about. Well, he might join us a little later. It'd be cool to chop it up with him. It's just Canelo is great bro.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm not taking anything. He just ran into something different.
Speaker 2:But like I was saying in the lead up to the Canelo fans, like what have you done for me? Lately, and ever since he waited for Triple G to get old, there was like a change in him. I thought like you're not the dog, you, you were, you know you. And I think he lost that and that listen that comes with with how much money he makes. Another thing I noticed he's wearing amiri underwear, crawford's wearing hanes yeah I'm done why are you evil?
Speaker 2:because that shit was like it's something there's something he said there, like crawford's still like, oh yeah I got what he's just a dog, and so that was canelo got worse when his english. His english got better, yeah, but but he's americanized lazy, he got lazy I'm just glad man, I'm just happy man, proud to be an american um this, whatever, yeah, oh, I don't care. Y'all went against, but I don't care yeah, yeah, half half the world did dude like, and rightfully so he's moving up too, and he did it.
Speaker 1:I'm just glad to be on the right side he did what I thought I called this shit, how exactly he was going to be yeah he felt his power he's like yeah, he's at any moment.
Speaker 2:Were you like nervous? No? Yeah, he's all watching it and same and only time when. When crawford like stuck his tongue out once, I was like, oh, he must have just got hit. We got hit with a little something there, yeah but there's the funny those.
Speaker 1:You see the clips when, um, he, he, uh, crawford slips and then caught canela yeah, he's like he's surprised, like, why is he looking like? He's surprised that he got caught. Like this guy got the defense with the offense with you and I love how cruffer came and he threw combinations early and his, he did his homework.
Speaker 2:Dude canelo's last fight. We noticed he can't catch a guy. He's not, he's. He's not a hunter anymore. You know what I mean? He's a if you're gonna, if you're gonna that's why I'm who the fuck I'm like.
Speaker 1:That's when I made a big deal Like damn Boots helped Canelo out, but look, he ain't Bud, and like who Bud had in his camp. You know sparring and shit.
Speaker 2:Lester Martinez, the fight before him, lester Martinez, yeah.
Speaker 1:Oh, damn Okay that's good, yeah, that's that's good yeah hell yeah, but I was like I was making a joke to myself because I was gonna make a video like yo, who's gonna have devil? Like you're gonna spark devil. That's the only way you can, like you know I'm saying to figure it out the way to be how to fight the.
Speaker 2:The gig is up now, like the jig is up. The way to be. Canelo is just be active and don't get knocked down. You know what I mean.
Speaker 1:But the thing about that is there's not too many people like that, and if you think, though go back to the.
Speaker 2:Triple G controversial fights, right. Yeah, that's kind of be active and don't get knocked down. Yeah, and that's what Terrence Crawford did Again. He threw almost 200 more punches.
Speaker 1:No, he beat him though.
Speaker 2:Yeah, oh yeah, he was winning rounds, winning rounds, he was winning rounds.
Speaker 1:Do you like the?
Speaker 2:scorecards. Nah, that he needed the 11th and 12th, that's crazy, that's insane, that's crazy.
Speaker 1:He won those too. Yeah, he got them. And they still got blah. He said his corner, that's what a great corner. Bo Mack and him yeah, bro, it's insane. They like they not going to give it to you, so you got to go take these regardless. That combo is great, I think, because and they never switched up. This is insane. That's what me and Jasmine's talking about. Yo, they never switched up. She was going with it, she was going with it, bro.
Speaker 1:Her muscles be popping out and talking and shit the presence of the chain, we'll get her on the show.
Speaker 2:It's just again now. We got into arguments in the past about I think it was me, you and someone else about who's pound for pound, who's pound? For pound now, but right now, right this very moment. Who it is? Definitely terence crawford and then usic, still behind them. They both.
Speaker 1:They like each other.
Speaker 2:Yeah, the only reason I'm gonna edge crawford and give crawford above usic. Now it's because of what he did, going up two weight classes. Mind you, usic did the same thing with just one weight class. You know what I mean? He went up one weight class and and he did twice, he got undisputed three times as well just not three different weights.
Speaker 1:Yo, that'd be crazy, Crawford man. Are we actually being spoiled? I ain't gonna lie, we've been spoiled, bro, even though some of the fights that's being made don't end up being how we think it's gonna to be, but we're still being spoiled. You know what I'm saying? Listen With the fights.
Speaker 2:I just not. Only did he attain legendary boxing status. Obviously we know that. Now Goated, instantly goated. When you beat Canelo Alvarez moving up two weight classes, yeah, he's all-time sports. Great now Top's all-time sports. Great now Top 10 all-time sports great with that feet.
Speaker 1:And again I said it, and he's so humble man at the same time. Yeah, yeah, and it's like he don't have nothing outside of the boxing ring that affects him no emotion no drama. He keeps it secret.
Speaker 2:You think so sell some drama. I think him and his wife recently got divorced.
Speaker 1:Oh, what is that kind of drama?
Speaker 2:That's probably not his fault, yeah, but that still plays a part on your head. It was his fault. He's got some other girl pregnant. Oh, Wait, wait wait, listen, who knows, I don't know Listen, but he's very reserved dude, he's very guarded. Remember, even when we met him.
Speaker 1:Yeah, man Very guarded, until he loosened up and then he's fucking having mad fun.
Speaker 2:Yo, that shit is. Yeah, I was watching though last night I was up late, I don't know why, and I got into like a YouTube loop scenes and in-depth camp life with Terrence Crawford when he was training for Amir Khan. It was an Amir Khan fight, yeah. And his strength and conditioning coach said something and I was like, damn, if I would have saw this, I would have bet different. He's like he's the best athlete he's ever met. He said that he could hit a 99 mile per hour fastball. He's really good at basketball, like every sport he plays, plays. He's that guy that's just nasty. There's nasty at every everything he picks up and boxing obviously is is his. Yeah, he's golden.
Speaker 1:I don't know now, I wouldn't be surprised if he's going in and beat a ufc fighter up in the oxagon.
Speaker 2:There is, so let's talk about the let's, let's, we'll tap into that?
Speaker 1:I wouldn't be. I wouldn't be surprised. I forgot his name, but I don't know.
Speaker 2:That's he called them out in whatever cases, maybe like a lower level guy that can't get in on his his but, but it's a different sport bro.
Speaker 1:Ah he, he literally boxed in the. You could uh in his camps.
Speaker 2:I'm sure he does wrestling yeah but when you get kicked in the shins, bro, it's a whole.
Speaker 1:I'm sure he done, did that already Nah, I'm sure he done got kicked in the shins.
Speaker 2:Now you're going a little, let's just he's all time I'm sure.
Speaker 1:Bro, he, literally he practiced in a UFC gym. I wouldn't be. I wouldn't play past him, I would not. Yes, he could wrestle. You going to keep on down this man. Whatever bro, y'all gonna keep what ufc? Yes, I, I, when you get. I'm sure he got kicked in the shin before I think he. I'm pretty sure he's just a whole different. It's just told I'm sure he sparred and everything there's a reason boxers aren't going in there and and doing this.
Speaker 1:I'm I'm sure he did it, though, if you ask him like did you get your fanboy?
Speaker 2:did you get kicked?
Speaker 1:I am fanboy right now. This is the greatest, oh it's crazy.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I agree, but again, that's my old thing.
Speaker 1:It's like saying oh yeah, I'm sure he got kicked in the shin. It's like saying Aaron.
Speaker 2:Judge, he could play tennis. No it's not. Aaron Judge would go in there. No, it's not, he's got a wrestling background.
Speaker 1:I'm sure he was in there. He practiced in a UFC gym.
Speaker 2:I don't know him personally, they all hit heavy bags at UFC gyms.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but I don't know him personally. I'm sure he done tried it. Kicking is when you get kicked.
Speaker 2:I'm sure he done was like yo kick me in the shin right fast. They condition their. You know what they do. They condition their shins. They hit it with metal. You seen that dude get cracked hit it with metal.
Speaker 1:You seen that dude get cracked twice. It's like three times it did the gate. The fight was over. You see that everyone.
Speaker 2:It just came out sly tendencies, has entered the chat, he says what up, homie? Great weekend of boxing. Yes, sir, bud is the most petty dude in combat sports. Said he didn't know ilia taporia and then came out to ilia's entrance song. Yeah, that's what I was going to lead into, so oh, that's great, he's like that.
Speaker 2:But yeah, I think sly, I think there's like more. I don't think he's petty, I think he was he. He trolled me that's what I was going to talk about when I thought turk put on another concert. So like I'm like, oh, my goodness again. The last time crawford fought and a big stage like this, they had the m&m concert and I was remember people were falling asleep and I'm like, here we go again. And then he started walking out with the guitar. So I don't, I don't think that was. I never. I didn't know that.
Speaker 2:I don't watch ufc, but I do know they say that toporia guy is the best like boxer in, yeah, in ufc, um, but there was beef there too. I think. No, no, I love Bud. He loves messing with people. He's got Illa swinging at air, yeah, and I think Illa was the petty one, if I'm saying that right Again, I don't know him because he came out. He's like oh, bud, I'll get you blah, blah, blah. He's like Canelo too, like all these weird things. Another guy who I'm obviously a huge fan of was kind of. It was disheartening to see in the post-fight press with Tio, like come on, dude, just let him have his moment.
Speaker 1:I don't even know what he was saying.
Speaker 2:He just like said something weird, and then Bud turned it on him about Shakur.
Speaker 1:That fight looks like it's really going to happen.
Speaker 2:That's going to be crazy. Yeah, that's good, we're going to watch that. You're not going to go to it.
Speaker 2:If it's in New York, possibly. That's one of those ones I want to just see on TV, though you know what I mean. Yeah, you'll be sick. That's going to be crazy. Listen, bud Crawford man, and what he did too. And this is what every Canelo fight this happens. It was on all sports. Man Boxing seemed like it was back for a second. You know what I mean? Mainstream Terrence would be on a Wheaties box if they still did that. Sly says Illa has some insane boxing for MMA. That shit ain't working under the Marcos of Queensberry. The Marcos of Queensberry, hmm, I don't know what he means by that. What do you mean by that slide? But uh, again, I, I listen to. Crawford Isn't going to UFC, willie. I don't know if you heard it. Willie said he thinks Crawford will go over to.
Speaker 1:UFC, maybe, like he's the only one that I know that he probably could the only thing with UFC is, though, it's not, it's like the major leagues.
Speaker 2:You know what I mean. So again, uh, hey, I could see him. I'm curious now to see what happens at 168 if he goes to 160. I really think bud's gonna go to 160 now and just get another belt. Thanks, huh, yeah, and there's some good fights there too, who got the belt. What's his face? The Eastern European, hold on. I always forget his freaking name because I mess up all their names.
Speaker 2:He has two. What is his name? What is his name? It's not Madrimov. I keep thinking Madrimov, what the fuck? Hold on, hold, on hold on 160, 160. Oh, janabek, yeah, janabek, akmalalia, whatever, however you say.
Speaker 1:Nah, I don't want him to go 160.
Speaker 2:I think he could beat Carlos Adames though.
Speaker 1:I don't want to go 160.
Speaker 2:Why Carlos Adames is WBC. I want Jahai to get a championship.
Speaker 1:I don't want Jahai to fight.
Speaker 2:W. Carlos Adames is WBC. I want Jahai to get a chip. I don't want Jahai to fight Bud. Wbc. Carlos Adames. Man, I think Lara, he could probably beat Lara. The only thing that's going to give him is Janovec. That fight, dude, that fight is. That's another massive, massive fight. I think Bud could beat him. I just Janovec hits fucking hard man and he's not going to be like Canelo in this. He's the boogeyman apparently of 162. He can't get a fight, so he's got the WBO and IBF. But I could definitely see him, you think people actually want to see that though.
Speaker 2:Yeah, hell yeah.
Speaker 1:Now knowing, like I don't want to see that I mean I'm talking casuals, man, they don't know.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but still now Crawford they're coming Like think of what that was on Netflix, dude. Think of what Crawford just did.
Speaker 1:That shit went dead.
Speaker 2:How many did? They say I don't know, but it broke records probably, and again I'm just just happy. And then the belts. If he goes to 160, he gets rid of those belts. Now they're free. Now we got some good fights at 168, some really good fights. And you know, you know, turk is is getting shiraz his shot at a belt.
Speaker 1:Yeah, you know shiraz is getting his shot at a belt. I wouldn't be surprised if you try to give a butt to fight him.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:Canelo's future is unclear.
Speaker 2:I don't know what's next for Canelo. Again, I want to give Canelo props too, though he was very humble, Very humble.
Speaker 1:They both was.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they both.
Speaker 1:That's the thing, though, canelo gave him back his belts and people in the comments like why are you giving back about, bro, those are his belts. He's gonna get his in the mail new ones. What is wrong with?
Speaker 2:people. You know the comments be crazy, the comments being crazy, like you know they're stupid.
Speaker 1:You know, hey look, why are you giving? Why are you giving his belts back? Like yo what I those?
Speaker 2:are his belts. They got his face and you know what crawford was sparring, larring Lester Martinez leading up to this fight. Um, and that fight was crazy, I want to see. We'll talk about that now. We'll probably end again with Crawford again, cause I, again I. I said this too from the beginning. While I was backing, I wasn't backing Canelo. I thought Canelo rooting and I said this from day one.
Speaker 1:I'm rooting for crawford and I. I was man again. It was insane to see bro get that in my memory, but you liar, I don't remember. I'm the only one on this podcast, yeah that's your final pick.
Speaker 2:And again I I said we here. Luckily, it's all recorded we can.
Speaker 1:You want me to refresh your memory. We can refresh, can refresh.
Speaker 2:Great to see, great night of boxing. One thing I know who Canelo doesn't want to fight is Lester Martinez or Christian and Billy, because that fight kind of stole the show Again. Crawford stole the show with what he did in the feet he did, but Lester Martinez, christian and Billy, dude.
Speaker 1:We're talking about no defense. That's what's going on. We talking about you know what? All right, this is a fight. This fight reminded me of you. Know how? You the drill when y'all just do body shots inside the tires. Yeah, that was right there, that's it. They was doing that the whole fight, but they was throwing head punches at the same time, because usually we just do body shots while we're in the tires like that.
Speaker 2:That shit was insane, dude. Great, great to have that on the card. Actually, it was such a good fight that I live bet in Billy to get knocked out. I'm like he's been in Canada, dude. He's going to get knocked out by this monster, lester Martinez. Yeah the fucker.
Speaker 1:Up because Lester was hitting him with crazy.
Speaker 2:He didn't though he didn't Towards the end, he was getting wobbled. I'm okay with the draw.
Speaker 1:The draw was a really hard fight to score.
Speaker 2:I thought Lester edited out. Honestly, some people told me they thought Christian. Next time I'm putting the draw on every fight on the card that hasn't been a draw in a while, though there was a stretch where we were getting yeah at least one on the card. There hasn't been one in a while. Dude the damage factor, though, that they must have sustained in that fight, I hope they went and got checked.
Speaker 1:They definitely is cooked, I ain't going to lie to you, dude pound, and they both hit hard. They both hit hard and they were eating it. Bro, they was throwing combinations. I don't understand. They both was throwing combinations.
Speaker 2:To put it into perspective, the punch volume doubled what Canelo and Crawford's yeah how much was total punch?
Speaker 1:I don't know what the total was. I don't have the exact number, but it doubled. I know that we need to find out Because they was was throwing hella punches.
Speaker 2:I want to see that at their size too I'm like what is going on and they taking punches left and right. Sly says lester, lester exposed, and billy's leaky high guard, he keeps his elbows too far open. Yeah, man, and. But you know what?
Speaker 1:that, yeah, that uppercut was fucking right there every time and billy was cracking lester too man, that little rat, tail, ponytail thing he had I. I said the same shit. I was like what the fuck?
Speaker 2:is that that had to hurt like a flick in the neck, I did not know what it was that little weird hair thing.
Speaker 1:You know what it is. And his defense is lax. It lacks Lester's defense was not there at all.
Speaker 2:Andre Ward made a good point too. He's like if Lester just got off the ropes and pivoted out a little bit and stopped just fighting on the ropes like that, he probably would have hit him with a clean shot, used an angle maybe or turned him around turned him really around.
Speaker 1:He would go from a high guard to a silly shell.
Speaker 2:But he don't. This fight was actually bad for both of them, though they're going to have to fight again because nobody's going to want to fight them. Like they're gonna have to fight again because nobody's gonna want to fight them. Yeah, they're both high risk, low reward, very high risk, low reward.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we definitely gotta get the rematch.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was a draw too, that was a setup I thought, I thought lester edged it out, so did the fact that it wasn't for no belt was crazy well, I think, I think um, and billy has some kind of one of those lower belts intern belt yeah something, yeah, something like that. I don't know.
Speaker 1:The fact that that wasn't for a belt. Imagine if that shit had championship.
Speaker 2:Well, now it can be. Now it can be, because they're free, at 168. I think he's 168. I mean, they could both make 168. I know that he might be 160, though Nah, they were big. They're big dudes.
Speaker 1:They're big dudes, fucking big, yeah, super middle it was 168.
Speaker 2:Yeah, dude, it wasn't for a belt, because canelo fucking had them all hostage. Uh, nobody had nobody fights for belts at 168 because of canelo. Uh, great great fight though. Um, the scorecards were 95, 95, 97, 93, one way, 96, 94, the other way, split decision draw. Um great great fight, dude. I I that that was one of those things too, that, that those fights that bring fans in, non-boxing fans, and that was amazing to see yeah I wish, that was the co-main oh yes, I says that was for the diamond wbc belt, whatever that means, one of those, whatever the real belts.
Speaker 2:Uh, crawford has. You know what, though? Crawford was sparring Lester. Maybe maybe they go at it, maybe he gives Lester a shot. I don't think so either. I think I really think Crawford's going down to 160. He sees something. I think he he could beat Lara. I think he could beat a dames. The only guy that that is going to be interesting to see would be Janabek, who I think is a little overrated, but he's the boogeyman for some reason. So he, he's trying to get fights and he is not, and he has power in both hands. And then my guy, kalem, the King Walsh. That fight, the only thing. I really want to listen. We thought Kalem was a high favorite. I thought he did good Props to Fernando Vargas. He came here to win. You know what I mean.
Speaker 1:I was surprised. I think that's the first time I've ever seen him fight Fernando Vargas Jr.
Speaker 2:I've seen him because of his dad. One thing I didn't like the announcing dude. Everybody was against Walsh. I'm like, dude, he's winning. He's winning every round every round what are you talking about? Yeah, it's not what we like. He keeps his hands down. Uh no, it was a trip. It was a trip, yeah, it was a trip. But I'm like, why are?
Speaker 1:they, they got tangled up yeah, I thought it was knocked down because I'm like like it should have glitched while watching it on the ship. We was watching it on the cruise and it should glitch and I'm like, oh, she got knocked down.
Speaker 2:Oh, hell, no, no yeah, yeah, that is true, sly. There was no replay on Netflix for that. I thought that too. I'm like, oh, let me see the replay. But I think it was a trip because Vargas didn't argue it at all their team didn't argue it at all.
Speaker 1:No, they both got tangled.
Speaker 2:And he just jabbed into the body. Yeah, it was like even replay, I guess. But I didn't like what Andre Ward was roasting Kalem and like I don't know what he did there. They had Fernando Vargas winning and I'm like, yeah, the fight isn't as exciting per se, but it's a good matchup. You know, fernando Vargas did good in spots but Kalem Walsh won every round. I liked his body work. He said after the fight he didn't feel right, he wasn't his best in there. Good on him. There's some stuff he's got to clean up. Still, we see Fernando Vargas came to win. Man, he came in shape, he was throwing punches. Yeah, that's really it. I don't think that should have been the co-main event, but still, king Kalem did his thing.
Speaker 1:As the co-mainmain. That didn't end up how I thought it was gonna be. It was gonna be a real good, vargas took those body shots.
Speaker 2:Well though, yeah, he was calum was tagging, he has like it's like a looping, but I can't explain it. It's from outside. You know, usually your body shots on the inside, he throws it from the outside. Cool to see.
Speaker 1:Weird style, different style both of their styles, yeah.
Speaker 2:Different style. I don't know who the Skippy scorecard guy was. I don't know who that was, maybe this guy. He was wrong on all his scorecards, all the fights. Did you see Sergei Bolechek get slapped around? How is that not on the main card? Yeah, I said that too before I thought the Bolechek the bollock check. I didn't get to see that fight either. That wasn't on netflix though. Yeah, it was on youtube, but it was it was on the youtube undercard.
Speaker 1:I watched it yeah, um, I was looking for that fight too.
Speaker 2:I'm like yes dude, that was another. That was just like the, the um serhii bollock check versus brandon adams. That was just like lester martinez versus billy just less power because they're lighter yeah, that was a fucking barn burner too, just the same thing.
Speaker 2:But uh, adams won, man, big underdog, brandon adams. Yeah, yeah, good for him. And yeah, bocek is what he is. You know what? He stands there and gets hit around like that. Um, if you could withstand his, his power. Usually you're on the right end. Um, that's the way I look at him. Oh, yeah, that's really it on that card. I mean the. There was a heavyweight fight, that was a snooze fest. Um, yeah, that, that that's it again. It was. It was all eyes on. Yeah, man, terrence bud crawford. Anyone know why his name is bud? I don't't know.
Speaker 1:I don't know, I forgot what they said. I heard it before, but I think, like in Nebraska or something they do like fish type.
Speaker 2:He doesn't smoke Bud, he smokes dudes.
Speaker 1:He don't smoke Bud. Yeah, he's different man. I don't know what's next with him. I don't know. I want to see this.
Speaker 2:Crawford could retire too. I'm okay with that If he retires he's older, he's not young, he's 38. He did.
Speaker 1:He might be 38 next week.
Speaker 2:He's an all-time great now, like Ali Joe Freight, like all those guys, the top five, top ten. Sugar Ray Robinson he's in there, he's in the mix.
Speaker 1:I mean, is this his era? That's what you want to say.
Speaker 2:This is the Crawford era. Yeah, yeah, what do you think? We'll stay on it.
Speaker 1:I think Canelo had his era, though, too right, who, canelo? Yeah, yeah, so it's not Just his era. So who's going to have the next era, though?
Speaker 2:I mean the next guy up man, who's the next guy? I mean, we got Bam.
Speaker 1:Rodriguez, I know he's light.
Speaker 2:Usyk's on his way out. I think too he doesn't have much left, damn so that's not his.
Speaker 1:He's going to have more fights If they're not in the same weight class.
Speaker 2:Do that weight class do that.
Speaker 1:So who's the face of boxing is what you're trying to ask, I think who's the face?
Speaker 2:the era is the face of boxing, kind of that's the way each era has its its guy. Who's the face right now in this, in this moment? Right now, it's terence crawford. Yeah, it's terence crawford, but we're going to talk about this fight too before that it's probably been usic, because, yeah, I think usic's beating fury was was crazy, yeah, and then moved up, and then he lost the belt and then got it again.
Speaker 1:So when did Canelo lose it? When he lost the belt?
Speaker 2:No, his last. Not even that. He dared to be great. I can't give him. He went up to 175, dared to be great and came up short.
Speaker 1:It was when he ducked Benavidez he lost it for me, and then when he waited for Triple G to get old and age out.
Speaker 2:And then remember Canelo did pop hop for Roids or something, pan chicken or whatever, some bad chicken, so I don't know.
Speaker 1:I feel like Canelo had an error too. Yeah, but this is an error, but he just got it though. No, no.
Speaker 2:I mean this just solidified how good he is, because there was always arguments oh, he didn't fight anybody, he didn't, but he got. My answer to that was he, he got undisputed. Dude, like to get all the belts in boxing is not an easy feat and it's every fighter's dream. That's he's three times. Yeah, every fighter's dream, except for uh, yeah, my boy.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he don't but, see, see how quickly like nobody's even talking about tank like see how quickly it shifted, like, and that's because, like that's why belts do matter, you know what I mean. Like you, you solidify it like 10, 15, 20 years from now, 20 years right when we're old and brutal and he got the bag for it who charrence, yeahrence. Yeah, he made 50 mil out of it, but he's going to now.
Speaker 1:He got the bag. He's going to be no bag so many marketing.
Speaker 2:So much marketing is going to come from this now.
Speaker 1:He don't care, he don't care about that. That's money, dude, yeah.
Speaker 2:He don't care. He don't care, it is money. He had the p-stain haynes, I think I got the word um, haynes of food, I think. Same, same, like brothers, yeah, but all right, let's just uh get into it anyway. Anyway, now, in a way, early in the morning I did, I went, I set my alarm for 7 am to watch it. I was too tired. I didn't because this fucking that fight didn't get over to like 2, 3 am, so I did not watch it. But naya, in a way, man, this fight went under the radar. I'm a little mad at that. Like they should have promoted it better. Just because it was in japan doesn't mean it's not a great fight. Yeah, uh, in a way, versus akhmed aliyev, people were were talking about this that Inouye's ducking him, everyone's ducking him, blah, blah, blah. He's the boogeyman. Inouye went in there and won arguably all 12 rounds. He did get buzzed, he got hit in the end.
Speaker 1:I've seen that he got fucking wobbled a little.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but it was too late and yo.
Speaker 1:Akhmad Aliye. It went 12 rounds, though I'm like this has to be a real deal fight.
Speaker 2:He got a Canelo neck on that little body. Yeah, dude, he was getting cracked by those signature uppercuts from Inouye.
Speaker 1:He was throwing some shit too, just eating it. Yeah, he was throwing some shit. He got like an overhand right that just comes up across the temple.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that triple G signature, yeah that's how he throw his hooks and you know what. It was actually a fun fight, because Inouye does get hit. We know that now and there is a shot, he can go down and Akhmedaliev is going to be.
Speaker 1:He almost won.
Speaker 2:At the end, man.
Speaker 1:That was a good shot he almost went down and it went all four, four rounds and he's throwing come he wasn't afraid of anyway, no and he challenged him.
Speaker 2:He definitely challenged him, so it was actually a really good fight. I really good any any other weekend that fights all over the news and everything but that that fight gotta be in the states he gotta come to the states man he's just, it's again, it's, it's just. We say that. Right, it's easy for us to say that, but he's, he's japanese bro, he's over there.
Speaker 1:Like he's the man, yeah, exactly so. Like he is the man, he's the man here too.
Speaker 2:So he really is and and that's we talked about them all it's it's usic. I mean I'm sorry it's for me right now it's crawford usic in a way. Those are the three, and then then you got Bam Rodriguez creeping up. You could arguably put him in there, but Usyk and Crawford definitely Crawford just above Usyk right now because of what he just did versus Canelo. Yeah, and yeah, that's that. Sly says. Inouye gave Akhmad Aliyev his respect, but I feel like most people are only talking about the end of round 12. Did you not see the ass whipping? He took monster, got skills oh, 100 dude, he won every round, but I, I'm just no, I'm not. I don't think most people are talking about that. It's just when he got wobbled like that, you're like, oh, my goodness. Uh, let's talk about akhmad aliev's chin, though he did take an ass whipping and he's just fucking still coming Like that chin. He got a Canelo chin.
Speaker 1:He did not. He wasn't on the back foot, he was coming forward.
Speaker 2:He was there to fight and win. Came there to win, so he lived up to the reputation but, just couldn't do it, it was good, and this fight made it in a way, better because he got the rounds in. You never see that, never see that. In a way it's a problem. There's talks that he's going to fight the other Japanese, fella Nakatani. He's going to move up in weight. I guess for that that's a huge fight.
Speaker 1:That's in Japan. I hope that's in Vegas.
Speaker 2:No, it's not, it's going to fight, bro.
Speaker 1:That's in Japan. I hope that's in Vegas. No, it's not. It's going to be in Japan.
Speaker 2:Sly says he's a mini Joe Joyce before Zhang. Yeah, joe Joyce. Joe Joyce, I thought, had the best chin I've ever seen. You knew it was coming, though, because you can't take hits like that at heavyweight. Imagine them standing next to each other. Joe Joyce is a monster. He's one of the most overrated boxers, though I think you think so. Yeah, joe joyce, but yeah, that's really it, man, it's just canelo crawford. Uh weekend, let me see if we can get one guy to pop in, and then we'll call it a night. I know willie's tired. We should be high energy today, but we are not um punch has a job now he's.
Speaker 2:He's not uh popping in, he's doing yo, he punches, doing like recruiting for um no, yeah, like uh, a real college, like a D one college, it's pretty cool. Like he's. He's putting tapes together and shit, um no he's definitely a.
Speaker 1:Thing.
Speaker 2:I don't know how he keep keep up with all that shit. Yeah, I can barely keep up with boxing keep up with football. My brain doesn't work. I'm so bad with names, dude as it is. Again man, all praise to Terrence Crawford. Humble, humble dude.
Speaker 1:People say he's you know who took an L, so I'll tell you what's your thoughts on whatchamacallit. Now that fight that possibly could happen.
Speaker 2:Shakur Tio.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Oh, you want my thoughts on it? Yeah, listen, shakur is. I'm not going to go too in-depth, but Shakur is, on paper, the better boxer, the better pure boxer Defensively is untouchable, you know. Yeah, but the intangibles that teo possesses, that quick twitch, the catch and shoot, you know it's gonna be an interesting fight. I think teo's key to victory here and you know I'm backing him, it's my guy but I think his key to victory here is attack that body. Yeah, attack that body. And and he's teo's big too, he's the bigger guy. Now I think, look, I mean I don't know, shakur's pretty big too. Shakur is is like a good five nine, yeah, is he, and he's he's like stocky kind of. I think he'd be looking bigger than everybody. Yeah, it's weird.
Speaker 2:Again, on paper shakur is the better boss. But yo, this, this fight, that fight's a mega fight. I'm nervous, I'm not gonna lie. I'm nervous. I'm a teo sexual, um, I'm nervous as hell. But the last time I was nervous as hell for for teo like this, was loma chanko and we know how that went. So, uh, it's gonna be interesting. It's gonna be very, very interesting.
Speaker 1:He does show up, but this is a different breed. Uh, well, I mean then who loma?
Speaker 2:no, he's up there with Loma. Skill-wise, skill set-wise, loma was the best fighter I've ever seen at that time.
Speaker 1:Yeah, loma was. He has better defense. That's the issue. Well, he throws, loma throws more, he throws more.
Speaker 2:I think the biggest difference between them two besides styles, obviously is the size Shakur is bigger, way bigger, with more skill. Does Shakur have power, though? No power, so like there's a lot of, and we saw Zepeda. Zepeda was touching him.
Speaker 1:Yeah, but Zepeda was just throwing punches.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I know he was right there.
Speaker 1:I know Second row, he was just throwing them.
Speaker 2:TO can let his hands go he barely was hitting, though. That's the crazy part TO could throw, though he proved that yeah.
Speaker 1:He could throw for 12 rounds. It's an interesting fight, dude Wait, is that a recent fight that he threw?
Speaker 2:Like his most punches he ever did. I forget the dude's name, but yeah, listen man again. Once that gets finalized and announced, we'll talk about it more. I noticed, though, to's been wearing the Tom and Jerry shirts, so something's going on, it's coming, I think it's coming. They're probably working out some contract shit.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so if this don't happen, probably TO ducked him. What Chakor ready for that shit? Saw that paperwork.
Speaker 2:Yeah, now. Now he does and listen again. Shakur is who he is. Resumes matter, yeah.
Speaker 1:But yeah, I'm going to be a real boxing fan that day.
Speaker 2:That's a mega fight for the box that's a mega fight. Yeah, who I'm? You know I'm backing to you. I don't care. But again, I I know shakur is the more patient, less risky you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1:So he could definitely win the rounds and you show that he can sit there with.
Speaker 2:Let me call this guy see if he wants to come in before we go because we tired yeah, yeah, I'm cooked, yo, that's. You know F him. You don't need to. I tried to give him an opportunity. It was going to be fossil. Old co-host got fired because he sucked, but he's a big Canelo fan. He was heartbroken. I could tell he was nervous.
Speaker 1:I didn't see him on the gram. I had to check up on him.
Speaker 2:Nothing. I had to check up on him, make sure he's all right. What do you think, though, man? What do you think is next for Canelo? Before we get off? We'll just stay.
Speaker 1:Canelo.
Speaker 2:Yeah, what do you think is next for Canelo?
Speaker 1:Canelo could do whatever he feel like doing. I think he should just retire man.
Speaker 2:He's got so much money Nah he got money to make.
Speaker 1:Still, dude, he's got so much money he can get the belts back. True, true, I mean he got beat so bad that the rematch is not going to make sense, but it would make sense for money-wise, for both of them. They can get the split a little closer. Canelo still is the number one. He's still going to make them more money.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he brings people out dude. You know what? Now, though, you have Canelo knows what he?
Speaker 1:They split that shit 100 mil, 100 mil.
Speaker 2:I think a rematch too. Canelo's coming in with some fire. I'm down for a rematch. I'm down for a rematch.
Speaker 1:Crawford's going to come in heavy favor, it's crazy that the older people don't get it like, yeah, like the old school, like my, um, my baby, mother, father was like man, this is not boxing. They send me, uh, send me eddie hearn and I'm fighting. I'm like, yeah, they was back in the day. Um, who, he's fighting.
Speaker 2:Eddie hearn was not eddie hearn um.
Speaker 1:Uh shit, who the fuck he sent? I said Eddie Hearn.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Eddie Hearn was a fighter, I mean.
Speaker 1:Marvin Hagler, Tommy.
Speaker 2:Hearn, oh yes.
Speaker 1:I said Eddie Hearn.
Speaker 2:Those are legends though.
Speaker 1:Yeah, those are fucking like boxing. I'm like yo. Boxing changed and they took hella damage back then Give me your top three greats of all time.
Speaker 2:then who's your top?
Speaker 1:My top three. Yeah me your top three greats of all time. Who's your top, my, my top three? Yeah, muhammad ali floyd. And um, damn, you know who I?
Speaker 2:I said I liked, uh, sugar ray sugar ray robinson, that's my number one, yeah mine.
Speaker 1:I like leonard actually, yeah, sugar ray leonard yeah, um, mine's probably same.
Speaker 2:Same. I don't know mixing. You can mix and match all them. I don't really. I like, I really like joe lewis. That's one of my faves from back in the day. His story was crazy, yeah, and he's, he took no ducks like crazy. But yo, that's it. That's it for the show. Uh, low energy today. We're gonna come back next week with some fire. Uh, will we come? I don't know, maybe the week after. We'll see, we'll see, we'll see what's going on what's going on this week. Nothing crazy, takes a little break, football's back.
Speaker 1:So yeah, we're just chilling, chilling out, I guess if something pops up, I guess we come talk about it.
Speaker 2:I'm just so happy that I want, I really want Crawford. In closing, I want Crawford to go to 160, get another belt right Versus whoever. If he gets undisputed there, wow, maybe he gets unified fights, janubek, whatever, but I'm just so. If he goes to 160 and the four belts are now up for grabs, oh man, that'd be great because there's a lot of good fights to be made at 168.
Speaker 1:You think he would go back down crazy because of 154?
Speaker 2:He said he's not going 154. Again he said 160. He's like I'll probably go to 160.
Speaker 1:154 is yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, there's some good fights there too, but he said he's going to go to 160.
Speaker 1:Everybody want him to fight Boots. Boots is at 154.
Speaker 2:He said no, though boots like bro, is that 154? He said? He said no, though crawford just came out. He don't look like a liar, he's pretty like what, what like. How do I think? When does boots fight next week?
Speaker 1:they want them to fight boots. My cousin swear boots to beat him.
Speaker 2:I'm like boots don't ever have enough defense for that that'd be a really good it'd be a skillful fight, yeah kind of like but crawford didn't go, crawford stayed lefty the whole fight too, which was cool.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, he sure did. It was smart and it worked out for him yeah. And then you know it's crazy. I seen Canelo. You know when you're fighting the opposite style, you're fighting the orthodox. I mean, he's orthodox and he's fighting the South Pole. He kept on his foot, was on the inside throwing punches all the time.
Speaker 2:Not only that, he's got a good hook Canelo, and he never threw it Left hook. The fight, though, that he threw the left hook to the body, yeah, but to the hip.
Speaker 1:He kept throwing it to the hip. I don't know what the fuck he was doing. Crawford arms. Just put it slightly down. His elbow is protected.
Speaker 2:Crawford's defense was on point dude. Also, too, his jamming technique where he jams your punch like jams your hand and then throws the left. He's a master at that and he was on the inside. But again, crawford did great. He was fighting on the inside, slipping small slips, oh man, yeah, and he was more active in one rounds.
Speaker 1:And dude, uh, canelo man, he let us all down. Bro. That was a masterpiece. I called it, bro. I knew he was gonna put up I thought.
Speaker 2:I just thought canelo was gonna clip him with some real shit.
Speaker 1:I knew though I thought, I thought yeah, I thought he might have, would have got caught canelo though his famous punch canelo wasn't bothered.
Speaker 2:there's no uppercuts thrown like yeah, he's hit. He was getting hit by Crawford and Crawford could punch, but it's Canelo, he's been hit hard.
Speaker 1:Canelo. At the end, I think like the 11th or 12th round, he got hit with something. Yeah, he stumbled a little bit.
Speaker 2:He stumbled a little bit. He didn't stumble, bro. He was never in trouble to get knocked out.
Speaker 2:He looked like he stumbled a little bit. If they would have went like 15 rounds, come on like back in the day, yeah, um, but yeah, he's just I don't know what. I think his mind is elsewhere. I think it's he's gonna wrap it up, but hey, I'm happy. Terrence crawford, three division undisputed champion. Um, what is elite, elite level. I'm still in awe by it, uh, shocked by it, like I. I did that little post. I got the fucking autograph when I did, um, great to see man the belts. Uh, pound for pound, great, pound for pound. Right now there's there's beef with, like him and mayweather apparently. But mayweather bet on him, so I don't know what he helped him they I don't know, maybe, maybe they've been cool.
Speaker 2:Maybe it's the people creating beef, then because?
Speaker 1:I've seen all kinds of shit.
Speaker 2:He called them out Weird shit, who cares? Again, congrats to Terrence Crawford. Like, follow, subscribe. I just sent out the Virgil Ortiz Jr autograph. Peep the Instagram.
Speaker 1:I'm going to keep doing more.
Speaker 2:I'm going to keep doing more giveaways.
Speaker 1:You just want to clean your shit out.

Speaker 1:I don't even know that dude, some dude in Arizona. No, I'm not saying that, I'm just talking shit. I'm tired. Yeah, well, you got to go to bed.
Speaker 2:Yo, yeah, that's it. Y'all Like subscribe blah blah, blah, blah blah.
