Speaker 1:

What's going on? Y'all. Yo what the fuck are you at Yo? Just yo, yo.

Speaker 3:

I'm out west right now, man.

Speaker 1:

Yo you living life man, hold on. It's on a sunny out there and all that.

Speaker 2:

So we're recording right now. That's Jahai Tucker. Ladies and gentlemen, we're all discombobulated right now. What's going on? Jahai, I'm cooling man Pleasure being here bro. Yeah, thank you. Thank you for taking the time. I know I'm annoying. I harass everybody.

Speaker 3:

Nah, nah, nah. Best podcaster, you guys have got the best podcast on the island and soon to be in the country and in the world.

Speaker 1:

You're making me blush.

Speaker 2:

No, did he? Yes, sir. So yo, Jahai, what's going on with you, man? We got a lot to chop up. I mean, when I first met you a few years ago, you were very soft-spoken, like a nice guy, even nice to all the fighters. But I'm just going to get right into it. Yeah, the past few, I'd say weeks or months. Yeah, Probably months, I'd say months. I'd say weeks or months.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, probably months, I'd say months, I'd say months.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you've been a little vocal Vocal on your opinion.

Speaker 3:

You know, honestly, I feel like I just feel like. You know, I've always been like a cool dude. I never like, got no problem with nobody, everything's cool. You know it's all business at the end of the day. But some of these guys, they can blur the lines between their egos and business and you know that's the business that we're in boxing. So you know, it's just what it is. I just, if I'm attacked, I'm going to be on offense.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so why? And I'll name the names in a minute but why are these people we speak of coming at you Like I don't know where it came from?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, came from. I saw where this shit come from. That's wow. Like you know, it's always. It's always he says, she say type thing, but it's always it's mainly all about boxing, like for example uh, amara, I saw with amari jones, yeah I was gonna get there the thing with him now is when he um, the thing with him now is well, I want to say when I fought the Sheik Naveeli guy, right, the Russian dude.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

The boxing voice asked him like what do you think about Jahai's performance? And then he, um, he goes and he says you know, I wasn't really impressed and stuff, you feel me? I'm like I cool, it's whatnot not. I've seen that I react to his eye cool. So then I want to say, maybe about about a year later I see him in houston. Everything is cool, everything is cool. Right, I didn't offer to fight him. I didn't offer to fight him. His team declines to offer. From what I'm told, from what I'm told, all right, from what I'm told, his team declined to offer. Then you know, you know he pop shit. I'm popping shit with my popping shit.

Speaker 2:

I could curse with him right, right, yeah, yeah, you can do whatever you want, man. This is the spot.

Speaker 1:

Curse ain't no sponsor All right.

Speaker 3:

But, but yeah, you know, fucking I, you know we're popping shit. I'm popping shit with my cousin and you know my brother and them, you know. So then one of my peoples, they get into an argument with one of the Devin Haney promotion peoples, and not so much an argument, it's more so like a debate of like yo, jahai versus Omari. And my guy was just like yo, bro Jahai already exified Omari and Omari turned it down. So then even it got it got to the point. Even devin haney, like himself, was asking like yo, like, is that true? Like what's going on?

Speaker 3:

So after that, now amari takes the instagram to defend himself saying like yo, I never jahari's top line, I never ducked your fight, so, so, so, so I just responded by sending him a screenshot of the matchmaker telling me, yo, they don, they don't want to fight. I have a screenshot, so I sent it to him and then you know he just goes defending himself. You know he started saying all types of stupid stuff. So I just told him listen, man, I don't pay him too much mind anymore because yo, we had the opportunity to fight and you literally turned it down. So I mean, if you're not going to fight down the line. Then it's like bro, it made no sense even talking to you. It made no sense you feel me?

Speaker 2:

Now did you guys yeah go ahead, go ahead, go ahead. No, I'm listening. Oh oh, Did you guys ever spar? Was there ever sparring?

Speaker 3:

We never sparred, we never sparred we never sparred we never sparred. Okay, we never sparred. In fact, everything was actually cool. We didn't say nothing to each other, like there wasn't no tension.

Speaker 1:

There wasn't nothing, it was just like you know, fist bump, fist bump, and that was that, so boxing shit is weird out here.

Speaker 2:

You think he was just following, like the other guy talking trash Truck Simpson yeah.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, he's just trying to get his little five seconds of clouding right now. That's all. He's literally trying to get his five seconds of clouding Now with Truck. That's why I paid him no mind. He's still fighting fucking. I don't even know bro.

Speaker 2:

Yo, I was going to say like I respect all fighters, obviously, but I was looking at his box record, his last few opponents, and I have seen him fight. I just didn't pay it any mind. But and I'm like, man resumes matter and you are. I got a new nickname for you. You are Jahai Risk Tucker because he's taking all the risks here, man.

Speaker 3:

I appreciate it, dog man, but but what were you going to? Say I was going to say with Truck. Now, with Truck, the build up with him is I sparred him and you know the sparring went how it went, how it usually goes. You feel me, yeah. And then from there you know Roy gets back around to him that yo, I did my thing against him. So then after that they want to fight. You feel me, mm-hmm, thank you. After that, now he decided to Huh.

Speaker 2:

He posted too. I know he posted that clip, which to me was cheesy. That's like posting somebody shooting an air ball and they went five for six from three. You know what I'm saying. He posted a clip of you with your gloves on the ground or something. You were bent over. Hello, oh, and we lost him. Yeah, well, that was good. Take back what I said. Don't beat me up. Yeah, that's on his end. No, that's not on us. But hey, that was Jahai Tucker man. We lost him.

Speaker 3:

I'm just going to turn the pot.

Speaker 2:

I hear him. I hear him. I don't know what's going on. I hear, like I hear aliens. Okay, he's probably going to come back.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's funny.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but we were rolling. That's Jahai Tucker. That was the surprise, having some technical difficulties on his end, but I'm sure he'll pop back in. I'm actually going to text him right now just to pop back in whenever he's ready.

Speaker 1:

It's like still the same length and stuff.

Speaker 2:

What yeah, yeah. Same length Should be same length. All right, yo, yeah. So basically, what's going on with Jahai is? You know, I've noticed, and we've been friends with Jahai for a while now. We met at Native Boxing and he was always soft-spoken, Never talked shit, even when you look at him. I think Tim Bradley started it. Yeah, tim was talking a lot of shit.

Speaker 1:

He put the battery in his bag.

Speaker 2:

Tim definitely was talking a lot of shit. I think he's coming back Hold on, I see you. Let me see if I add him.

Speaker 3:

Okay, jaha, jaha, you there yeah, can you guys hear me better?

Speaker 2:

yeah, yeah, it is better. Damn so nice over there. It's all sunny and shit the wifi man, yeah yeah.

Speaker 3:

So yeah, long story short. Even the flick that he posted, bro, like nigga, like he did not even drop me, that's what got me tight. I love it. I was like bro, I literally slipped, like no punches thrown, no, nothing happened, bro, like it was like the first one. I like slipped and I was getting up. He posted a picture of me standing up and I was on the what's this shit called the Boxing Voice? No, the um, the boxing voice. No, what's the box? It was a little mill city boxing. Actually. He tells me, like you know, he's gonna have truck simpson up on the show when he's there. I told him, listen, he has cameraman there. He has cameraman there. Tell him, post the footage. Tell him to post everything on.

Speaker 2:

Post the footage anyone who knows anything about boxing knows, knows that's like the cheesiest thing ever. And when you only post a picture it kind of reminds me back of like the Paulie Malignaggi, Conor McGregor hype.

Speaker 1:

They give it like Ryan vibes right now yeah. But it don't make sense for y'all to be doing that yet. It's not like y'all, all big names, right?

Speaker 2:

now.

Speaker 1:

You got a way bigger name than them. I know you fought the better fighters and then they doing this now.

Speaker 2:

It's tough, but you know what was crazy about him, specifically him About Truck. He actually went in to two people, not just you. He came out at your jeweler and we know who your jeweler is, trax. He better be careful for him. He don't want beef with him. Like you are who you are in the ring, but Trax is coming. I'd be more scared of his ass. He's over there running the diamond dish Coming at your jewelry man.

Speaker 3:

Yo, bro, yeah word, like when guys bring up your jewelry and shit like that. They're just like we just hate it, man. But I don't pay no mind because, bro, my jeweler is literally the biggest jeweler in the world, bro.

Speaker 1:

I know I'm like really Trax, you had him in the gym. You know that, trax, you had him in the gym working out and all that.

Speaker 3:

Did you talk to him? You was with us, bro, you out there man, you was with us. Yeah, I told Trax. I told Trax. Trax said I talked to him. I told him. I told him what the guy said. Like he said it was Amazon looking chains, all types of shit.

Speaker 2:

So oh man, I told him that.

Speaker 3:

No, he just laughed. He just laughed and he was like nothing for me, bro, and I feel like I gotta go out there and just take handle business, stand on business and just show him like I'm levels of boyfriend bro, like he's like a c minusminus fighter bro, you know what I mean. I'm trying to go show him I'm in love with my boyfriend bro.

Speaker 2:

And the fact that you sparred with him before. Like how many fighters have you fought professionally that you have sparred with before? You know what I mean, like dude.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you know it's what it is Like, even, like, even the opponents, that we're getting the last guy. We got top 10 dude well tested you feel me?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, nobody, nobody, and big ass dude too, man.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, and he was in good shape, man. I really was trying to get the stoppage, but he was very cool and he wouldn't go. Even when I would hurt him, he would still push through it. Man, I gave him props.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's never been stopped, but you knocked him down twice, almost three times from what I saw. So you're saying that truck is on your radar and that'll be in about what?

Speaker 3:

a month? A month and a half, if everything goes right. If everything goes right, probably like a month and a half Okay. If everything goes right.

Speaker 2:

You know what. So I know it's WrestleMania weekend. Right, we're coming off WrestleMania weekend and a guy that sort of came to your defense and also a friend of ours that we interviewed, Troy Isley man, I want to see a tag team boxing match. I want to see some tag team boxing match. I want to see some tag team boxing.

Speaker 3:

Shout out to Troy man. Troy's a good dude. He's been cool for a little bit now. Man, Tag team boxing match. Yo top rank, Top rank will do something with that. That's never been seen before. Nah, man, I feel like we could definitely do something with that the drama's there. The drama's there. The drama's there.

Speaker 1:

That'd be fire. Oh yeah, bro. I wanted to let you know, man, I wanted to, you heard, I wanted to let you know that, bro, I think you can beat everybody with just your jab, bro. I don't understand like why you have to get in a bag every time you go fighting somebody. You have to get in a bag. Every time you go fighting somebody, you have to get in your bag, but you can just use your jab. Your jab is amazing, bro.

Speaker 3:

Nah, thank you, bro. I feel like I've got to keep improving on it, find different ways to use it you feel me and let's build on the tool. That's really, I feel like, where I'm at right now. I'm right there, close to that world championship level. I just got to sign up on a couple things and I feel like I'm there if I do the right thing.

Speaker 1:

Your rope and dope is entertainment pretty much, because you don't even have to do that. Yo, you be in there begging with these big dudes. I'm like yo, you don't even have to do all that, you can just move around on them all day. I'm like yo, Jahan just sit here with a play around all day. He like to fight. You gotta like to fight.

Speaker 3:

Nah, yeah, you know, and it kind of fucks him up mentally and it fucks him up positionally too. Like, think about it like this I put myself in a corner, right the corner. Look like this so I'm right here in the corner. Look like this so I'm right here in the corner. You only got two ways you can go. It's only one of two ways you can go. You can either come to this side and you can come to this side, you feel me, and I have all the advantage because you're putting all your momentum on me. The worst thing that you can do when you're in the corner is just sit there and just let the dude like tee off on you. Bro, you feel me, use the ropes, use your movement, bro, use his.
