Speaker 1:

It's time for the main event. It's the Sparring Podcast. Oh, it's a knockout.

Speaker 2:

You know what?

Speaker 1:

I'm saying, I'm trying, though I don't know what's Yo?

Speaker 2:

I have no idea. I never had these issues. I'm sorry, yo. Thank you for the time. That's all I care about yo, for real, thank you so much. It's been. It's been long overdue, yo, thank you. Thank you, yeah, I've been. I've been like it's like I'm chasing Tio bro, kind of like you were chasing Ortiz. Yeah, ortiz, I said that. Yeah, ortiz, I said that what's going on, man, where are you traveling to? Heading right now to Las Vegas, las Vegas. Yep, back home, you training over there?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm going to see what I can do with a certain special fighter.

Speaker 2:

See if we can collab and make some stuff happen. Nice, nice, who is that special fighter?

Speaker 3:

Can we get a hint For me to know guys, ah man, here we go, yo yo. How was the Is what it Is podcast, how was that shit? Nah, that was cool man, that was cool. Bass and Cameron, yeah, they funny. Them niggas is funny, right, they hilarious, they hilarious, they straight New York niggas for real, though.

Speaker 1:

No, for real, I mean, I'll be real, though. They don't know too much about boxing, but they smoke. They're funny guys though.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nah, they try their best, though they entertaining as fuck, though they entertaining as fuck they really are. That's a fact.

Speaker 2:

We're entertaining too. We're just not as famous Yo. So yo, I just want to thank you first of all for for for trying all this. I never had these issues and you should see me bugging out um, and, and I won't take up too much of your time, I just have a few questions that that have as an undisputed champion, right, you yourself? Yeah, I, I was always a fan of you and I became a hardcore fan of you when you beat the bricks off Lomachenko. And I'm gonna show you something real quick, real quick over here I got this right here.

Speaker 2:

you know, beating up Loma, I got too much TO stuff. I'm not gonna to say I'm obsessed, but I'm a big fan as an undisputed champion. Right, better be if Bivol. This is the fight. This is the fight we want. It's the whole fight of the year, man, who you got.

Speaker 1:

It's a tough one, it's a really tough one. Bivol is very good with his punch count and better be if I him like. Slow him down.

Speaker 2:

Two very disciplined dudes. That's the main reason I wanted to have you on. I wanted to hear what you had to say about that. Can I give you who I got, what you got, if the ring is small? I got to see what this ring size is. I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 3:

I'm rocking with Arthur. I'm rocking with that power, baby, that power going to slow down that boxing? I don't think he, because he's not going to be able to do what he did to Canelo.

Speaker 1:

No, I don't know, I don't think so, I think Shoot, yeah, I would say.

Speaker 3:

Ben abuse. Yeah, man, I'm fucking with it, I'm fucking with it.

Speaker 2:

I will say this though Biffle's got good footwork, his jab is crazy. You know what you just fought? You just fought, you just fought. You just were not in camp, but you were with Canelo. Right, you were training with Canelo. What is Canelo's next move?

Speaker 1:

to be real, like when um, I don't like to really get in deep, in depth with fighters like that, whatever they plan to do. They plan to do. Okay, I get you. I guess I'm just, uh, I like, I like to really just learn and just us exchange knowledge yeah, what we've learned through the game.

Speaker 2:

What was the? What was it? I try to keep it simple. In in that camp, what was the crazy or not camp? I keep saying camp. I'm sorry you got me starstruck, my bad. I showed you In that training with him what were some wrinkles. He showed you that you were like what the hell? I never seen something like this.

Speaker 1:

I think just what he reminded me of truly was the amount of consistency they use on one tactic and they'll overdo it throughout the whole day, maybe throughout the whole week, and then they'll switch it to something different. So their regimen on being persistent with their style is immaculable, like it's really good, it's strong. So that didn't really surprise me, because that's what I did for Poemate. However, it reminded me I should go back to doing that because it works.

Speaker 2:

That's good, man, that's good.

Speaker 1:

And then, and then the other thing was what was the other thing? The other thing was just how, when you're sticking the ropes, how you, you gotta he was telling me how to like turn, how to like just bend over, like duck down, so to speak, and then turn the guy. Awesome.

Speaker 2:

Did you spar with him at all or not?

Speaker 1:

No, we just did. All we did really was just escuelita that's what they call it.

Speaker 2:

Translate for me. Translate for me I'm a gringo, it's just school, school boxing. Okay, okay, cool cool.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so it's not in no real contact or anything of that sort, it's just more of like I was saying earlier, just him being more. You know, the mobility, okay, awesome.

Speaker 2:

Awesome. All right so you heard it here first at the sparring he's picking better beers. Man, we rocking with you, we rocking with you, we rocking with you. Listen, nothing against Bivel, though. Nothing against Bivel.

Speaker 3:

So you ain't gonna get, you ain't gonna get into the real questions, because right now you got your favorite fighter on the fucking phone right now.

Speaker 2:

I got a million real questions. Alright, alright, get you something that you want to know. So on a personal level right.

Speaker 1:

On a personal level.

Speaker 2:

When you beat the hell out of Lomachenko, right, when you beat the hell out of Lomachenko, I lost friends, Seriously. I lost friends because I went crazy Right here at the spa. I went nuts. When you beat the hell out of Lomachenko, were you a little disheartened? The respect you got from Bob Ar, Bob Aarone and Top Rank Like I saw it? Nobody celebrated.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, like Nobody really celebrated, my team did Of course, of course.

Speaker 3:

They was fucking upset out there. They was fucking tight.

Speaker 2:

And is there any animosity going forward now with Top Rank BaBe Room? All of them? No, no, no, none going forward.

Speaker 1:

Nothing at all, really. Everything that's moving forward is just business.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

I think that it's better than really getting to know the staff again and really becoming more personal, bringing them to family events or anything like that. I think that's long overdue and I'd rather just with them, strictly do everything through business.

Speaker 3:

That's how you got to keep that shit. You got to keep it Definitely. That's how you have to keep your real family, like that too sometimes.

Speaker 1:

No, truthfully, because a lot of these promoters and managers, people in the boxing industry, they really want to be friendly and get to really truly know you and your family and everybody and go to events just so they can spy, so to speak. Yeah, and that's just. There's no need for that, you know, if it's business, it's business. If it's personal, it's personal. But in this boxing game everything goes apparently.

Speaker 2:

As you know. As you know, that's a fact. All right, I just got a few more questions. I'll let you go. Thank you again. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I'm sorry, I'm starstruck because I'm an idiot. You're good, nick man, we ain't sparring man, we sparring.

Speaker 3:

You should have seen me, man.

Speaker 2:

I was running around he was fucking bugging. But yo, when you were training for Josh Taylor, right, when you were training for Josh Taylor, there was speaking of spies. There was people from ESPN and Top Rank coming to your camp seeing how you were doing because they were a little concerned about you because of the prior stuff that happened. Whatever right, they spoke very highly of those guys you were sparring. I was just wondering who they were.

Speaker 1:

Oh was one. His name was ivan um. Ivan was a very good sparring partner for me. He's south palm, he's under split team management and, uh, definitely, he definitely helped me a lot in that camp, um. And then I had a few other ones, but nothing. That was really. That was really surprising to me, but the main one for me was Ivan okay, ivan, you got a last name I think it's Ivan. I keep thinking it's all good, I'll find it, I'll find it.

Speaker 2:

Grego, I'll find it. Oh, you about to search that motherfucker up he's a 47 pounder.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, I think he got one loss like 20-something wins. Okay, he's got a good amount of knockouts in his record too, under his belt. Okay yeah, I think he was like 160, 165 when I was sparring him.

Speaker 2:

What are you walking out of right now?

Speaker 1:

Right now I'm at 152, 151. Two pounds away, yeah, Two pounds away. Yeah, I'm not too far away from my weight right now, but I might go up in weight. We'll see how things progress.

Speaker 2:

That's what I meant. I meant two pounds away, 154.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, ah, here we go, here he go.

Speaker 2:

So, all right, enough of all that. I just want to be honest. So they call me and I don't mean this, no, diddy a teosexual, right? I hope you got your headphones on, because I don't want the people on the plane to hear this, but this is my Gervonta sexual. He is a tank sexual right here.

Speaker 3:

I heard the respect you gave him. Though you gave him respect. You was like yo, somebody's going to get knocked out. He's like I'll fight him, somebody's going to get knocked out.

Speaker 2:

I was going to ask. The back and forth between you and Gervonta is more like fun boxing back and forth.

Speaker 1:

There's a lot of respect there, correct? No, I just there's a time and place to promote and when I was on, it Is what it Is. I just wanted to promote the fight to make it seem like it's a 50-50. Okay.

Speaker 2:

In my regard. You know who my money's on. You know who my money's on.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, we're going to have a little feud here, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So wait, wait After me and Tate if that happens, whenever it happens. Right yeah, are you guys still going to be in the podcast together?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, maybe.

Speaker 2:

Maybe, so I got to admit to you.

Speaker 2:

Maybe I got to admit to you so I met him. I met Willie right like three years ago at the boxing gym right Native boxing, and when I met Willie man I was, you know I'm coming in with I got like 20 TO shirts. Everyone who follows the podcast knows I'm TO. I've been. You probably heard me you didn't know it was me, but you heard me Ringside whatever, and the wars I've been getting in with these tank sexuals and as the token white guy for TO. They're like why the fuck you?

Speaker 1:

like.

Speaker 2:

TO man and I'm like man, shut the fuck up. I've been getting in battles and you know how it is in a gym. You know, as the token white guy in a boxing gym, I've been getting that right.

Speaker 3:

You got to show the. You're not even pointing at nobody. I'm not even pointing at nobody. I've been backing TO from day one, yeah, from day one man.

Speaker 2:

Willie and I will always be cool.

Speaker 3:

But I'm the one that made him start the shit. I told him to start it. I'm like yo, you always talking boxing. Start your podcast, man, like you know. And then look, look, look, where he at now talking to his favorite fighter.

Speaker 2:

He didn't fucking thank me for this shit, like we don't get paid for this. You know, I just peep. That being said, though, you are really under someone's skin, you, you are really under someone's skin. You are really under someone's skin, and you know who, and you heard me yelling his name and stuff, and before him, if that happens, right, Because everything's working. I know it is. I'm not even going to mention the name, people can figure it out Everything's working. Will you be at. Yeah, you remember that shit.

Speaker 3:

This nigga's drunk as hell Just walked around the city like Coral. You remember that shit. This nigga's drunk as hell Just walk around the city like Crawford who, crawford who? We had to take a whole train ride back. This nigga farted and talked about Crawford who, and I'm like what. Farted and talked about Crawford who, like what.

Speaker 2:

Before Crawford will we see you at 140 again.

Speaker 1:

Can you give me that yeah?

Speaker 2:

hey, sky's the limit, man. So Crawford just came out today and he said he wants you to fight his last opponent. Is that on?

Speaker 1:

Damn. No, that's crazy though he's trying to do what Loma did with me. He's trying to do what Loma did with me, but at least Loma told me to fight a world champion. Madri Mova ain't a champion.

Speaker 2:

What's the point? You're right. You're right, I think I think.

Speaker 1:

I think, why are you trying to marinate and take too long? You want me to show you something?

Speaker 2:

I've been showing you guys something you so I love and you say what's on your mind, right or wrong. You know I don't agree with everything, right or wrong, you say what's on your mind. My best argument for you is resumes matter. Resumes speak volumes. Right, you beat Lomachenko in his prime. Nobody wanted Lomachenko. Lomachenko was one of the best boxers I've ever seen with my own two eyes. And your dad and you called him out right From day one, called him out, called him out. You beat him.

Speaker 3:

Your pops is as cool as a motherfucker, too. Your pops is as cool as a motherfucker.

Speaker 2:

You did the same thing. I appreciate that. You did the same thing with Josh Taylor and, I'm not gonna lie, I was a little worried. I was ringside. I was like, alright, alright, I'm sorry, we'll turn it off, we'll turn it on. And then you did the same thing with Josh Taylor. You called him, you called him out, you called him out and now you're calling out Terrence Crawford, calling him out, calling him out, calling him out. We gotta go calling him out, calling him out, calling him out. We got to go three for three, man and I don't hate Crawford, I don't hate on Crawford we got to go three for three.

Speaker 1:

No, for real, for real. I'm just looking for a triple crown, that's all. Triple crown, man, fight the best, beat the best. You are the best you got money, man, you got to buy a horse. Call him Te Um.

Speaker 3:

you haven't, you haven't made a milli for a fight, yet Alright, now that I got your text, would you like to point out the face of the?

Speaker 2:

person.

Speaker 1:

Oh shit, dude, there's a face here for patient card, you tell her to keep it down.

Speaker 2:

man, I'm talking to two or three more old people.

Speaker 1:

So, um, yeah, with that, that's all. Um so, no, no, no. On paper I get about two, two and a half oh.

Speaker 3:

About two, two and a half. Oh, okay, you got to pay everyone. You got to pay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh, okay, the champs don't even come back home with that.

Speaker 2:

What'd you think? Real quick and I'll let you go I know I'm already taking up too much of your time but Mikel Meyer versus Sandy Ryan What'd you think of that fight?

Speaker 1:

It was the best fight of the year.

Speaker 2:

Yes, just said that.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that was exactly what everyone expected it to be. They actually executed that that night, and it was a show man.

Speaker 2:

I was jumping up and down, msg was jumping man. I said that MSG was jumping TO. Thank you so much, man. Listen, I'm sorry we caught each other off guard, but I appreciate the time. You did what you could. Maybe we can chop it up again sometime, hopefully, and we'll be a little more organized, all right? Hey, I appreciate it. Champ, you'll hear me. You'll hear me, man, you'll hear me ring-sign Peace, I'll take care. Peace Later.
